True there is a diffrence,bt its still a fine film. Also green mile book is diffrent.those 2 films stand out 4 me. Yeh red i agree with ur IT assessment. xxzero: IT..at least the dvd version..have the duration of about 4 hours and a half..more or less..one of the best adaptations to television of a king's book..i agree that they had to filter some stuff from the book to television audiences..but the main story of the book is intact in the adaptation..in my opinion.. also can't say the same about the green mile..both the movie and the book lacks something that worked so well in shawshank(movie and novel)..green mile to me looks like a very long list of good actions to others from someone with supernatural powers..it's miles away from the shawshank redemption..i might say that stephen king stretched too much some parts of plot that would work much better in a shorter novel..same goes to the movie..too long and sometimes boring..but just like in the book..it does have some amazing stuff..in general worth reading and watching..for me not among the best of king (in cinema or books)..i expected much more.. |
