The netzuke were, especially in the 17th-18th century, luxury objects minutely decorated with carvings representing various figures and motifs, generally of a caricatural nature. Those made of ivory are quite expensive and highly sought after by collectors... I am one of those. Great choice, Wrangler! wranglerrrrrr: ALL IS GOOD DEMETRIO, EXCEPT THESE PIECES ARE NOT NETSUKE... THEY ARE MUCH LARGER THAN NETSUKE, OF WHICH I HAVE A COLLECTION OF AS WELL..... AND THANK YOU FOR THE UNWANTED LECTURE AS TO WHAT MY COLLECTION CONTAINS.... |
