WisdomYouNeedNow: Idaho has certain areas that are hard core neo-con, which have historically been fertile breeding grounds for prejudice, intolerance and hate. Oftentimes the nonsense that comes from people like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh fuels the hate-seking missiles to further the covertly racist agenda.
Idaho has people who are not racist, but also has "enclaves" like on the outskirts of Sandpoint, etc. that are tied in with rich and politically-connected people, who quietly, behind the scenes, financially promote the neo-con idiology. The "sea of flags" that President Obama condemned is historically the precursor and mask that hate hides behind under the guise of being "good patriotic Americans"
Anytime the flag that is supposed to represent ALL people (Christians, Muslims, Blacks, Whites, etc. etc. etc.), is used by groups that work hard to hijack Democracy and freedom, our unity, and dignity on a whole or personal level begins to erode.
Like so many countries around the world, we in America also have our ugly moments in history. The land was stolen from the Natives, who if anyone, has a natural right to be here. People of African descent were enslaved and discriminated against (and oftentimes still ARE). Japanese Americans were interned in Concentration Camps.
Unfortunately, after many decades of progress and fame, the Patriot Act, which uses PROFILING, was and IS a turn in the wrong direction It has many Americans pointing at each other as the enemy.
Neo-con nutjobs on the radio are leading people away from progress and America Fame to Prejudice and Shame! Creating division and finger pointing, doesn't enhance security, it is the beginning of the "Salem" mindset as people turn on each other and begins anew the utter disgrace of what is found in history's darkest chapters.
