Karmaquence80: Really it took 6 writers to write "Girls we run this mother? (girls)"? Where they monkeys typing on type writers? Freddy was a genius so I'm not surprised that took one writer and one producer. But 6 writers for simple lyrics...IDK, sounds really odd.

deepersti11: In "1984", Orwell talks about mindless songs, intended for the masses, being randomly generated by machines. He talks about the "Mammy mammy mammy song."

Song #1 is essentially just that. It consists of 10 words – most of them 1-syllable words – mindlessly repeated. If the song were being disseminated by a totalitarian regime or a cult, we might call it a "thought-stopping" mantra.

Song #1 is also essentially self-congratulatory "woke" propaganda for idiots. Whether you belong to the "woke" camp or not, you must agree that the claim that girls "run the world" is simply not true. How many countries have a female head of government today? Fewer than 9%. Only a few countries have EVER had a female head of government. How many CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are women?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_elected_and_appointed_female_heads_of_state_and_government

Song #1 shows no evidence that any of its writers/producers/performers actually cares about playing or singing real music. Song #1 is the musical equivalent of high-fructose corn syrup.

Bohemian Rhapsody is, in contrast, a good song. This song was commercial, but it's also clear that Freddy Mercury and Queen's producer wanted to create something that was worth listening to. They took the time to do the job properly. The result speaks for itself.

Freddy Mercury's vocabulary was also rather larger than that of a 2 year old child... .

Kelty_not_Flirty: I think this is a misinterpretation. Beyonce's song is not about who literally runs the world at a surface level. All those men with those big jobs, most of them answer to their wives vagaries and wishes to some extent at home, so maybe in that sense?
