Browneyes, the "Snow Picture" is from a week or two ago, as I was about to start shoveling out my front walk, with dusk falling fast. The "Double Rainbow Picture" is from a couple of years ago. I just wanted to post a nice SUNNY "Dusk Arriving" picture to complement the "Snow One". The "Double Rainbow Picture" has it's own GREAT STORY, which I'll need to post here one of these days. Thanks Again !!! View all 7 posts unzippedd: And believe or not folks, that shot was taken right here in New York City . . . and only a short walk from my home here in New York City. You'd never know it from the picture, right? :::: grinning ::::: unzippedd: Secret . . . Yes I did, with my ancient iPad. One of these days I need to buy myself a real camera. unzippedd: Thanks Sunny! This is one of my favorite pictures of my lake, but I'll have to wait until it warms up a bit before I can return to it for my rowing. I only visit it during the warmer months of the year now. View all 10 posts unzippedd: Thanks Vixyyy . . . Thanks Just . . . It really is a very special place. I guess that's why the Nature Conservatory bought the development rights for about 40% of this lake, so at least we can keep that part forever wild. unzippedd: Alluring I want to back! Hopefully, if the weather cooperates, I will be back there for another nice long hard row on Sunday. two whispers: OK I am 3 months late on this but,,how adorable! I used to breed this color of English Springers back in the day. Great dogs nd great family dogs they are too.....so very friendly to all this breed is swtnibbles3: Zippy, I recall many a conversation with you sharing your dear wife's limericks. They always made me smile. I hope she still writes them and perhaps once in a while you will share them with your friends here. I also, for the life of me, never understood how you get away with all those bottom pats and gropes on your way out of the rooms lol.. unzippedd: It must be do to my devilish smile, which tends to let me get away with murder! My lovely wife has no idea how I get away with it either! And yes she still writes Limericks as do I, though not nearly as much as she does these days. And she still runs an INTERNATIONAL LIMERICK CONTEST ...twice a month, which I used to enter now and then (although I must admit I've been pretty lax the last year or so). But here's one I wrote for her contest about THREE YEARS AGO, which I've always loved: Now divorced and thrown back in the fray, José found a nypho named Fay. As he thrusted his sword, And repeatedly scored, She roared and kept screaming: "Olé!" If I remember, I'll try and post a few of my others from time to time. It's clear we ALL need a good to smile right about now. I do hope all is well. "Virtual Hugs" and "Virtual Kisses" and "Ass Pats" .... from you know who. |
