It's just like Lord of the Rings. Pretty messed up. History has REPEATEDLY proven to us what power does to those in the wrong hands. Without soundness of mind and spirit, it inflates the ego. I envision this much the same as inflammation in the brain. Inflammation is destructive, as is a blown ego. Not only does it consume the person with the swollen ego, but it reflects itself outside of that individual upon others, in the form of greed and tyranny. It becomes a contagious disease, that replicates, and spreads. Creating a sick society of "every man for himself; one takes all mentality. What go's on outside of ourselves, is merely a reflection of what is going on inside. It is up to us to keep ourselves balanced inside, in order that balance may be reflected and manifest outside of ourselves." - Letfa Karriem 1/17/2012 TuneJoy: Is it coincidence that people in power are almost never good, and goodwilled people are almost never powerful? |
