The Best Letter I've Ever Gotten. <3.

This is a letter I got from my Dad on the day of my wedding. A few people wanted to see it so I thought I'd post it ::

Teddy-Bear,
I can’t believe my little girl’s getting married today. I remember the day you were born: it was 9:30 in the morning and it was the first snowfall of the year. Your mother and I always suspected that that’s why you grew up loving the snow and winter so much!
From the minute we saw you, your mother and I knew you would grow up to be a beautiful, talented, incredible person who would make us proud, and you have done just that. You always try to do the right thing no matter how hard it is, and you stick to your principles which can be hard for some people to do. You are intelligent and independent. You take on challenges like living in a different country for six months, travelling around and gaining so much valuable experience that can be useful in the rest of your life.
You are kind and sweet and genuinely care about people. You are a wonderful daughter and sister. Speaking of that…your siblings all wished to contribute a few lines in the middle of this letter for you, so here goes:

-- “Hey kiddo, this day is all about you and you deserve it. Take this time to shine!” -- Bill

-- “I’ve never seen you as happy as you are when you’re with Brad. The two of you belong together. Congrats, kid!” -- Charlie

-- “Live it up on this special day, Trace. Light up the wedding with that smile of yours!” -- Jay

-- “I’ll say most of what I want to tell you in my speech but for now I’ll just leave you with this: I love you and I am so happy for you and Brad!” -- Jenn

-- “This is your day. Rock it!” -- Kevin

-- “I look up to you; you are a great role-model and sister. I hope you enjoy your special day!” -- Charlotte

-- “Live life to its fullest, Trace, and enjoy your day and then your married life with Brad. The two of you are perfect together.” -- Mike

-- “One of the best older sisters a girl could ask for! You’re always there when I need you and I love you!” -- Amanda

-- “I hope you and Brad continue to be as happy together as you are right now! The love that the two of you have is what I hope to get when I’m older.” -- Annie

-- “Congratulations! I love you very much and I’m so happy that you have found your soul mate and are going to live with him happily ever after.” -- Sam

-- “I love you.” -- Lilly

Your mother and I echo everything that was said above and even more than that. I would continue to list the accomplishments and qualities that make you such an outstanding person, but this letter is starting to get long and I haven’t even gotten to the main thing I wanted to say yet.
Your mother and I want a lot of things for our kids…We want you to be mature, responsible adults who contribute great things to this world and we want you to always learn new things and impress others with what you’ve learned. We want you to be the absolute best person you can be and to share kindness and compassion with others to help them be the best they can be as well.
But what we want the most for our kids is that they are always happy. You were a happy girl from the day you were born and I know you will always continue to be that way. You love life and don’t hesitate to jump right in. And, while I know that a lot a things contribute to making you that way and making you so very happy, your mother and I agree that the happiest we’ve ever seen you is when you are with Brad. He is a wonderful man and we know he will take care of our little girl the way she deserves and we know that the two of you belong together.
Just always remember to be yourself and always remember that we love you very, very much.

Love,
DAD
