LittleRedRiding: both are beautiful, l'd go with #2 7 years ago • Report 1 LittleRedRiding: 2nd has more of an Art Deco feel that l like.... but hell l'll be tickled pink with whatever one you want to give me (Post deleted by SunsetJuliet ) Leaahh: http://www.rings-for-women.info/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/unique-black-diamond-engagement-rings.jpg Leaahh: I know, I have to be the difficult one but they look so generic, I don't like either of them. Thosny: leah honey - that's a classic round cut.... very pretty and like the Asscher, has 8 side facets on the table. Maezingme: I like the princess cut, but I also like the beveled, I'm not particular you can buy em both. most women have eight fingers and two thumbs. Thosny in reply to SpiceyLips: Not always!!!! It depends on the size and the setting that's it's in....the classic emerald has wonderful side brilliance which is accentuated by most mountings - the asscher is another type of "emerald" cut which has been around since the 1920's. janesbadfreedom: what's the recipient like? and what DOES the recipient like? #1 delivers more bling, 2 delivers more class, depth and style strength. Someone mentioned deco style. I agree and, as a die hard deco-phile am predisposed to 2. but my vote would depend on who the recipient is. So wtf is she? Thosny: And no - this is not for anyone in particular. There was a discussion in the room about Asscher vs Emerald...hence the picture. Yea - chat room discussions can get weird... Lexxuss: First one has more facets and would reflect more light. It may be a better match for you because of course you're multifaceted as well hummmy: Looked like handcuffs until I clicked on it. ..need my glasses, so nvm...I'd rather have an emerald Mink_n_Sable in reply to Mink_n_Sable: At least thats what they are called here. lol dont know bout down south. Inconspicuous: ask these same women to hand you a phillips screwdriver and all you get is a blank stare sumkindowndrfl in reply to Inconspicuous: So sexist! I know the difference between a Phillips and flat head screw driver. Do you know the difference between baking soda and baking powder? Inconspicuous: These ladies do know their stuff Fordman. Most of these ladies could work in a jewelry store, especially Jane, who I thought was going to collect a commission off Thosny lol. Yeah Summy it was sexist, but in a playful way – smiles. I have some work for you Rock, Sum, Spicey & Santianno if you know how to use the tools! HA HA @ Micheal Renee…you are awesome I like #2 btw. It has elegance and simplicity.... sumkindowndrfl in reply to Inconspicuous: I knew you were being very tongue-in-cheek...as was my response. That's why I gave you this I'd give ya a red balloon too, but I don't know how to make one. Shell Sweetie: Most important things to remember about a good tool. 1) keep it lubed. 2) keep a shed over it. Thosny in reply to Inconspicuous: Oh good Lord, man. They chew through their constraints like a robin through a spiders web. DragonsEquinox: ive heard and seen the original emerald cut but bit the other, ty for showing me the difference |
