There are only two [contradictory] ideological forces in our World which are at play. One is distinct, well organised and properly funded; representing the interests of the exploiters: Capitalism. There are a few, but it must be said that there are many more Leftists than there are Socialists, on Wire or anywhere else. It is interesting to note also that most surveys of political opinion portray available parameters of choice as merely a single continuum; with far Left and Right at the edges and Moderate tendencies somewhere at the centre; when in reality both and all references of such trends refer to wings of the same Capitalist ideology. And so in this way Socialism, which denotes an entirely separate ideological belief is in effect censored/negated from inclusion, and therefore from all discussion.  Sailor_Mercury: Most definitely. Liberalism is a wing of bourgeois ideology. I've always found it kind of interesting to see how this manifests in surveys in places like Facebook who've quantified my political perspectives as "very liberal" because it lacks the ideological infrastructure to properly assess it.
