 |             Teeth McQueen: Big Leaf Maple is the the base. Tiger maple is the actual box. I hand planed the box to angle in from the top and basically watched as someone who knows what they're doing worked the tree carving detail. The base is not done yet, there will be a lot more detail to that too (which I'll be sitting on the sidelines for). Basically I only measured, planed, cut, clamped and did 3 of 4 jointers.
