SunshineDeb: So the really awesome news is that my vertigo is cured! Hallelujah! I've been getting migraines with it so I'm still not coming on to chat. When that clears up I will be back because I miss you all! But I have to keep reminding myself that this vertigo is cured Hallelujah!!! They ran a test the other day and he said it's cured.!! He said take it slow at first, to let my body catch up with the Cure, but I am so excited! I just had to share this wonderful awesome news with you all!!

plackey57: Hi deb, inhavent been on in a while, i want yo share this with u, i also have veryiho, have had it since my eatly 30s and have to take meds fot the rest of my life, this is the first i heard of a cure. Ur lucky for me i cannot do without meds. I know everybody is different, dont take it personally but im not buying it. But im glad urs is gone and never comes back .like ur doc says take it slow. ClassicCarGuy: My friend, Steve, wore coke bottle type glasses for most of his life. He was told he could never have improved eyesight. Then along came laser eye surgery and presto! Steve now does not have to wear them. Just a mild prescription for reading and distance.
From what Deb told me about them moving the crystals in the inner ear it sounds like they really have made great strides in this area. Don't believe any doctor that says it cant be done. Never hurts to get a second opinion.
Deb's migraines also went away too after several days. All interrelated.
I had laser eye surgery done in 2004. Went from 20/200 eyes to 20/40 (but now they are 20/60 because I use them too much for my work). The only side effect is that my eyes are dryer but I use Soothe eye drops by Bausch and Lomb and they really help.
I hope you will change your mind, Plackey, and see another specialist like Deb's. The worst they can say is that your doctor was right and you have no hope for the vertigo. Might be that you have a rare disease - not diagnosing you here. I had a middle ear virus for years and the doctor I had had me on meds that the VA later said I should have gotten off of. Medicine .... sometimes very frustrating - other times very promising.
