Sunshine n hurricane: CDC went and updated odds of survival again and told no one. Shocker. Why is this not plastered across every news station? Because scared people are easier to control. This is amazing news.
Survival rates by age bracket:
0-19 99.997%
20-49 99.98%
50-69 99.5%
70+ 94.6%
Really they should have had a separate category for 80+ given that half of all deaths were over the age of 78. 70-79 has significantly better survival rates than 80+. Convenient for them to lump it all together.
And this is infection fatality rate. Not simply your odds of dying from Covid. Your odds of dying from/with Covid IF you get it. So far only 2% of America has tested positive. And that’s with beefed up numbers and assumed positives and multiple positives from the same person.
So if you’re in that 2%, the odds of survival are above.

Curious 58: I have family who say they don't know who to believe. And they just want to trust the science. When I try to show them they say well you know...... there fear has become a close friend to them and they can't see life without their new friend

Sunshine n hurricane in reply to Curious 58: some people like the drama of being afraid, misery loves company so they get angry when everyone else moves on with life despite something potentially harmful being out there. I mean I dont want it, but I dont want the flu or pneumonia or cancer or to get hit by a car either. Im not hiding in my house because there is a chance that something could happen and that that something COULD be fatal. For the first month while things were so unsure....ok but no, enough
