This is a large oak tree that sits in a residential neighborhood in my town of Napa. I was drawn to it because of the tangled, twisting nature of the branches. I used this tree as a sort of study of form, taking five photos of basically the same view, but with a range of ever-tighter fields of view.
This is one of those five pictures, the one that I like the most, and which makes the best overall composition. I increased the contrast just a little bit, and cropped off a little bit from the top and bottom
