Friends | A world is supported by four things, the learning of the wise, the justice of the great, the prayers of the righteous and the valor of the brave. But all of these things are as nothing, without a ruler who knows the art of ruling. (Post deleted by spiceharvester ) spiceharvester: If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Battlewhiskers accused me of cheating in Wordy public room today for the game you see the screenshot above. Apparently, he couldn't stomach someone coming up with a word like "terminator", or maybe "pontil" too. And once the game was over, he rushed to the room and tried to smear this stain on me. I know that feeding a troll is not a wise thing to do, but I cannot just stand watch some specious, obsessed nutcase to tarnish my reputation as someone who detests those who truly cheat. I have a winning ratio of 60%, and I think that's quite a healthy performance since I play both against newcomers and experienced players alike. I win less, and I lose more against the experienced players, while I win more against the newcomers, while I try to help them with the game dynamics, tell them about how to score higher with bonus multipliers etc. I have an educational background in linguistics and etymology, and I must say that significantly helps me in this game. Yet... I still have a win ratio of 60%. Battlewhiskers, on the other hand, has a win ratio of 75%. Anyone with such a high win ratio draws suspicion. It IS possible, but when someone bitterly loses a game and the first thing that comes to his limited mind is to point the finger and call someone a cheater in public only adds to the suspicion... ergo the saying "if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail". I can neither prove nor disprove that he cheats, but I must say something smells fishy here with the behaviour displayed. You can do the math. lieffeil76: It's sad. Anyone who truly loves wordy wouldn't be a sore looser like that. Also you are a fabulous wordy opponent. Cheating is for losers |
