Memories

Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory. Susan Brownell Anthony

Everyday I make new memories or remember ones from years ago, its funny how things you haven't thought of in years suddenly pop into your mind! Its lovely though to be able to go back and be able to smile over things you may have forgotten until that very moment when suddenly they come forefront and cause you to stop and play over those things that at the time didn't seem so important. Yet here you are seeing the importance of them now so many years later and smiling over how good a time they had been... I remembered today walking the beach in Felixstowe with my dad many years ago, our talks were always so good when we walked the beach. He would share things with me that he didn't share with any of my other siblings. We would stop off at a bakery there and buy chocolate eclairs, sit on a bench watching the sea lap up to the pebble beach and talk over lifes mysteries.. We solved a lot of things sitting there watching the waves roll into to shore. A great memory
