Complained he heard "bells" in his ears

Those are symptoms of OLD childhood fears."

But the ringing persisted and THUS
The jester kept making a fuss
Yet the shrink could but find
It was all in his mind
"You're crazy," he testified, "PLUS

"If you STUFF your ears – COTTON will do –

Shall be rid of that RINGING
Instead, you'll hear SINGING
