I've likely spent more time on this question than necessary, but when it comes to asserting an image of who you are to the world where do you possibly begin?

I feel that I cannot be described simply as one thing or another. Who I feel I am is likely different than how others may think of me. I am selfless, honest, compassionate, sweet, quirky, funny,down-to-earth.I am a free spirit. Or you can think of me a poorly designed metaphorical puzzle. The one with pieces that just don't fit quite right: a little awkward, klutzy, shy, self-critical, stubborn.

At the end of the day I am human and as such, I am shrouded in complexity: I am beautifully complicated.

I also love to read. Mostly distopian/society based or SciFi-Fantasy novels. One of my personal favorites, A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood, examines the nature of identity: "...don't you see, what I know is what I am? And I can't tell you that. You have to find it out for yourself. I'm like a book you have to read. A book can't read itself to you. It doesn't even know what it's about. I don't know what I'm about.”

It better desribes what I was attempting to explain earlier. In a sense, writing a biography of who I think I am isn't really who I am now is it? I think there is some truth that we are the people that we surround ourselves with-- creating a sort of mirror act. As such, we make friends with people that exhibit who we feel that we are. So, who I am is merely the perception of what you and others think of me. Who I am to myself is a different matter entirely.

Any thoughts?

Shazaam! Oh yea that. I am kind of odd too.

I am a student studying general science at a local university. I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. I find as I journey through the riches of higher education, that I am sparked by all kinds of new interests and ideas-- kind of euphoric really. Someday "when I grow up" I'll be a nurse or medical researcher, perhaps even a doctor. *cough* Ninja.
