Posted by Finbarr Walsh Cumann Cork32CSM The 32 County Sovereignty Movement stands behind the Palestinian people of Gaza, who are enduring the onslaught of indiscriminate Israeli missile attacks. These attacks are clearly an exercise by the Israeli forces to punish the Palestinian people of the region for their refusal to accept subjugation. As in Ireland, the international forces of imperialism have underestimated the resolve of an oppressed people. Missile attacks, assassinations and false agreements, bolstered by outside influences, will not resolve the Palestinian conflict; only by giving Palestinian sovereignty the ultimate expression of a homeland will this be possible. International support from the US and British administrations for Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian territory has allowed such attacks to go ahead, and enabled the Israeli forces to strip Palestinians of their basic human rights. We call on all Republicans to demonstrate in support of the Palestinian people, their struggle like ours is just and right  |
