reside in
unmarked graves
no one knew
the magnitude
or what
they hoped to save
they might
have been ignoble
but they fought
as if tho brave
upon the throne
of the king
sits the lowly knave

the war
has long time ended
but the battle
blazes on
all the
wounded soldiers
shall rise again
at dawn
there’s no one left
to testify
the dead
have been long gone
all of them traitors
broke the sacred bond

outliers, insiders
vying for control
no one gave them
free pass
they refuse
to pay the toll
they bargain
for salvation
trading hearts
and souls
all of them traitors
aim to keep
the things they stole

all of them traitors
can’t even trust
each other
as they stab you
in the back
to your face
it’s always brother
they move
from cause to cause
and always undercover
all of them traitors
time will
surely smother
