FOR THIS HOUSE NEVER SLEEPS(writtn so many years ago, cant recall when
TraehA: I. Sold my house and all its horrible secrets...to a new family with new hopes an dreams ideas plans an even gave them some new trees to plant...for the future❤
manof_darkness: Very nicely written, makes me think of this old house I own. We have lived here for over 30 years and it has seen all my kids grow and leave to start their own lives. And now the grand kids come to stay a while too. I wonder what this old house will be when we have lived our lives till the end what will it become when we are done.

For This House Never Sleeps©
by rak
for this house never sleeps
the tables overflow
sometimes the well runs dry
sometimes famines grow
but this house never sleeps
nor ever locks the door
it answers how and why
and even says what for
tho this house never sleeps
it often creeps and weeps
and feels what real with stealth and steel
and responds in bounds and leaps
for this house never sleeps
what turmoil marches in
what havoc in a maverick maze
what decadence and sin
and how indeed could this house sleep
when peace and quiet knows no home
with every window cracked with grief
and stained with tears in morning glome
and this house never sleeps
entrenched in trouble steep
a universe dieing of thirst
an ocean sinking deep
for this house never sleeps
the walls forever haunted
and the bloodstains all are smeared
almost as tho they’re flaunted
and this house never sleeps
nor secrets does it tell
so full of scars and open wounds
yet wears them very well
no, this house never sleeps
perhaps, perchance a peep
it oversees o’er land and seas
and gives what no one keeps
for this house never sleeps
it couldn’t if it tried
too many souls are lost
too many young have died
and this house never sleeps
in a world where hope is lost
where all that’s left are dreams
of how to pay the cost
for this house never sleeps
the dirt it sweeps in heaps
the dust encrusted, to be entrusted
to be once more asleep.
