rak03252: seems we r always standing in lines, and waiting.…
I like to think some of my poems and ideas are timeless, this one for instant, could’ve been written yesterday, but more likely was written some 40 yrs ago… sometimes we are in line for something we want.. sometimes for something we need… in any event, we stand in line and wait...
out of the weary wilderness comes a worried, restless soul been 40 days hard traveling 40 nights without a fold or was it 40 years it’s hard to get the story straight he wanders round from place to place just to stand in line and wait
out of all this madness there’s solutions, salves and cures there’s a man who hasn’t slept much with his trades and baits and lures it’s hard to just stay satisfied sometimes too hard not to hate then we rush thru each endeavor just to stand in line and wait
there’s perplexities, amenities there’s a 3-day growth of beard don’t judge him now, too harshly it’s worse than you have feared too easy giving up or to give in and say it’s fate there’s still some time for one more round so we stand in line and wait
and all of these atrocities have worn my patience thin there’s no end to this circle where did it begin everyone’s a victim and we gotta pay the freight turn around, i’m right behind you i stand in line and wait

Stand In Line And Wait©
by rak
out of the weary wilderness
comes a worried, restless soul
been 40 days hard traveling
40 nights without a fold
or was it 40 years
it’s hard to get the story straight
he wanders round from place to place
just to stand in line and wait
out of all this madness
there’s solutions, salves and cures
there’s a man who hasn’t slept much
with his trades and baits and lures
it’s hard to just stay satisfied
sometimes too hard not to hate
then we rush thru each endeavor
just to stand in line and wait
there’s perplexities, amenities
there’s a 3-day growth of beard
don’t judge him now, too harshly
it’s worse than you have feared
too easy giving up
or to give in and say it’s fate
there’s still some time
for one more round
so we stand in line and wait
and all of these atrocities
have worn my patience thin
there’s no end to this circle
where did it begin
everyone’s a victim
and we gotta pay the freight
turn around, i’m right behind you
i stand in line and wait
