prairwarur: “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.”

There is a difference between power and might. Power is potential strength that has not been used. I have the power to take a dart and throw it. That’s potential strength. When I throw it, that’s a demonstration of might. Power is potential. Might is power displayed. For that reason, we have every right to sing, “Our God is an Awesome God.” He doesn’t just have potential power, He demonstrated his power in the beginning of time by creating a living soul. He demonstrated His power at the Red Sea. He demonstrated His power in the fiery furnace. He demonstrated His power when He walked out of His own grave. He does not just have potential power; He releases that power. He is the almighty God of the ages, Jesus who is the Christ.

Acts 1:8—But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
