My New Year's Message to You!

Dearest Beloved Friends and Family,

My New Years message to you all.

Happy New Year! 2018 ~ Wow! I have so many memories of when I was younger and this decade in which we live was only the stuff of Science Fiction! Amazing.

In 1968 I was about 16 when the movie "2001 A Space Odyssey" was popular, especially for teens. This era we live in now, was to me, one of a far, distant, future, with so many discoveries and mysteries awaiting us. Many of the discoveries made since the '60's did not disappoint! Yet we're not quite to the space odyssey point. lol

You probably hold similar thoughts and lament how quickly life does pass us by. Those were the days of movie dates, hanging with friends and fun. Now, it's not the way I pictured it would be like in the movies or in my dreams.Ha..ha... God has blessed me, however, more than I could have imagined and for that I am truly grateful! He gave me a wonderful husband of almost 40 years now, and three children. They have blessed me with 8 grandchildren. God is good!

And, for my young friends, I will share another memory from a song by John Cougar Mellencamp, "Hold on to 16 as long as you can. Changes come around real soon that make us women and men." Spoken like a prophet! When we are young we yearn to be older, but when we are older, we realize how foolish it was to make changes so quickly and attempt to be older, more mature. Don't be in a hurry!
Slow down, count the costs and think through decisions. They all have consequence, either good or bad.

Time is precious, a prized commodity that slips away much too quickly, and can never be retrieved. Treasure every moment of your life! Make happy memories that will keep you company in your old age. Love well! Laugh often!

As we ring in the bright, New Year, my thoughts are with you all. You are each and everyone of you in my prayers. I ask God to bless you continually and abundantly. I ask Him to comfort you, strengthen you, give you peace and joy in every situation. I ask that He reveals Himself to you in a very intimate and special way and revives you again. He loves you so! He loves you as if you were His only child! That is your hope and glory! Amen!

I'm not often in touch as I should be, but that does not mean you are not in my thoughts and prayers. Each one of you receiving my greeting today has a very special place in my heart and my memory.

Never think I have forgotten you because you will always be in my heart.
God bless you, beloved!

Shalom peace,
Prair
