Phoenix_Rosie: Bear had his surgery today. He is home and doing well. All total he lost 8 teeth, two on the bottom and 6 on the top. Everything in front of his canines had to go because it was dislocated by the tumor. She removed as much of the tumor if she could and sent it off for testing. it did damage some of the bone in the roof of mouth but not to the point where it's causing him any more pain at the moment. All we can do now is wait for the test results and hope it doesn't come back. Also she took x-rays of his entire body and didn't see any tumors anywhere else.
Calliente: Glad the surgery part of this whole procedure went well, hopefully no more pain to be felt with the tumour removed and teeth extracted. Just praying for you now that results come back all clear. Give bear lots of cuddles and love

Phoenix_Rosie: Unfortunately it turned out to be a very aggressive form of cancer in his face. It's already metastasized into the bone structure in his face and we found out too late. We planned to love him as long as possible but the cancer is just way too aggressive. It's growing even faster than it was and is bigger than it was when he had surgery 2 weeks ago.
I will be saying goodbye to my baby boy on Friday. Please keep me in your thoughts as this is very hard for me. I have had him as my best friend for my entire adult life. Some of you know a lot of what I have been through the last 10 years. And bear has been with me through it all. I wish I could save him forever. But a dog's heart is so pure that we are blessed with them for a short time. I will forever miss my baby but I cannot bare to see him suffer.
