ISAIAH 53- A PROPHETIC LOOK AT JESUS HIS DEATH BURIAL AND RESURRECTION

700 years before Christ was revealed in Bethlehem’s manger, Isaiah the Lord’s Prophet predicted the exact details of the Messiah JESUS Death, Burial and Resurrection. What an amazing accounting Isaiah writes as one who was there watching the events of the Cross and Resurrection happen. In a sense, He was as the HOLY GHOST was revealing it to him some 700 years before the Events took place.

Not everyone believes these events pertain to CHRIST, The Jews to this day still deny these verses are about Christ and try to make them about King David, which has no resemblance at all to anything David experienced.

But for us who believe it is a marvelous unfolding of the MESSIAH AND HIS WEEK OF PASSION!

WE WILL BE SHARING SCENES FROM PASSION OF THE CHRIST MOVIE TO EMPHASIZE CERTAIN EVENTS- warning some may be graphic, and hard to watch.

ISAIAH 53: And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;

Gethsemane-

And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him. 40 When He arrived at the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” 41 And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, 42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” 43 [a]Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling upon the ground. 45 When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow, 46 and said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

Footnotes: Mt of olives – crushed olives- Jesus was crushed in gethsemane.

He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely, He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, everyone, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

THE CRUCIFICTION

Passion of the Christ beating arrest of Christ YouTube

What did Jesus look like?

What must Jesus have looked like by this time? They had beaten him with hands and whips. They had pulled his beard. They had forced the sharp crown on his head. People have painted pictures of Jesus on the *cross. None of them can show us what Jesus was really like by that time. Isaiah’s description is better:

Isaiah 52:14 Everyone was afraid of how he looked. He did not even look human. Nobody would recognize him as a man.

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;

Matthew 26:62) 62The high priest rose and addressed him, “Have you no answer? What are these men testifying against you?” 63b But Jesus was silent

I Peter 2:23) Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judged righteously:

He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?

John 18:28-Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. 29 So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?”

For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

what a scene- we need to understand the depths to which Jesus suffered for us.

Today the grave and RESURRECTION hallelujah!

Josh McDowell noted Bible scholar on the Resurrection

For centuries, many of the world's distinguished philosophers have assaulted Christianity as being irrational, superstitious and absurd. Many have chosen simply to ignore the central issue of the resurrection. Others have tried to explain it away through various theories. But the historical evidence just can't be discounted.
A student at the University of Uruguay said to me. "Professor McDowell, why can't you refute Christianity?"
"For a very simple reason," I answered. "I am not able to explain away an event in history—the resurrection of Jesus Christ."
How can we explain the empty tomb? Can it possibly be accounted for by any natural cause?
A QUESTION OF HISTORY
After more than 700 hours of studying this subject, I have concluded that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is either one of the most wicked, vicious, heartless hoaxes ever foisted on the minds of human beings—or it is the most remarkable fact of history.
Here are some of the facts relevant to the resurrection: Jesus of Nazareth, a Jewish prophet who claimed to be the Christ prophesied in the Jewish Scriptures, was arrested, was judged a political criminal, and was crucified. Three days after His death and burial, some women who went to His tomb found the body gone. In subsequent weeks, His disciples claimed that God had raised Him from the dead and that He appeared to them various times before ascending into heaven.
From that foundation, Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire and has continued to exert great influence down through the centuries.
700 YEARS PRIOR TO JESUS EVER STEPPING FOOT ON THIS PLANET HIS DEATH, BURIAL, RESURRECTION WERE DECLARED IN AMAZING ACCURACY BY ISAIAH THE PROPHET!
HERE HIS BURIAL IN A BORROWED RICH MANS TOMB IS VIVIVDLY FULFULLED

9 And they[a] made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth." Isaiah 53:9

Fulfillment
"When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the Body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, and departed." Matthew 27:57-60

The amazing prophetic details down to the exact fulfilment of where he would be buried was fulfilled. No one could stage this themselves, details so exact, this is 100 percent Fulfilment of ISAIAHS PROPHECY!

Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

Luke 23:4) Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. RESURRECTION SCRIPTURES HERE FORETOLD
11 He shall see the labor of His soul,[b] and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

The Resurrection
20 Early on Sunday morning,[a] while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. 2 She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, “They have taken the Lord’s body out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

3 Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb. 4 They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in. 6 Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, 7 while the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings. 8 Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed— 9 for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead. 10 Then they went home.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
11 Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in. 12 She saw two white-robed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying. 13 “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her.

“Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”

14 She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn’t recognize him. 15 “Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who are you looking for?”

She thought he was the gardener. “Sir,” she said, “if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”

16 “Mary!” Jesus said.

She turned to him and cried out, “Rabbani!” (which is Hebrew for “Teacher”).

17 “Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Footnotes: Amazing how CHRIST by passed his DOUBTINBG DISCIPLES and revealed himself to believing women first, Mary Madeline WAS PRIVLEAGED TO SEE JESUS FIRST- THIS SHOWS THE SIGNIFICANT ROLE WOMEN WOULD HAVE IN CHRIST MINISTRY!

Disillusioned Disciple passover week

DISILLUSIONED DISCIPLE

60“Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. While he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.” 62And he went outside and wept bitterly.…
My mind goes back over send over to that moment I denied my friend and LORD. I cannot sleep, I barely eat, I denied my LORD, I CURSED HIS NAME, I feel so much shame, my friend whom I swore to protect and love and even die for. Now He is s gone, and I cannot tell him How sorry I am. I know He said He Would rise again, but somehow just can’t believe it. I feel it all is just a swirling mass of dark confusion in my head.
I am good at only one thing it seems, my old trade of fishing, I go every day to catch fish, to keep my mind occupied, wondering will I see my Lord and friend again?
Peter here feels the the disillusionment many feel today, dashed dreams, hopes passed by, and brokenness sets in. is it an end? Or just a beginning?
I GOT TO GET BACK I HAVE JUSTGOT TO GET BACK, NO MATTER WHAT, AT ANY COST.MY HEART MY- LIFE BACK TO JESUS! PETER KNOWS HIS TRUE DESTINY ISN’T FISHING FOR MERE FISH, BUT FOR THE SOULS OF MEN.
The words of JESUS ECHOING IN HIS MIND – I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN!
Just when Peters hopes were all but gone! The scene changes, as he was out in the boat, suddenly a man appears on the shore, and starts making a fire,
Breakfast by the Sea
21 After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberius, and in this way, He showed Himself: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately[a] got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. 4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”
They answered Him, “No.”
6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So, they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. 8 But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. 9 Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”
11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. 13 Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.
14 This is now the third-time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.
Jesus Restores Peter
15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah,[b] do you love Me more than these?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”
16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah,[c] do you love Me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”
17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah,[d] do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”
And he said to Him, “Lord, you know all things; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. 18 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”
PETER WAS RESTORED TO HIS FIRST LOVE AGAIN, HIS FRIEND HIS LORD WAS BACK IN HIS HEART TO STAY!
THE STORY AS WE HAVE IT IS ENOUGH, NO COMMENTARY OF MINE HERE WOUD DO IT ANY MORE JUSTICE, THAN THE PURE LOOK WE HAVE FROM JOHNS PEN.
I would only say we have all been where PETER WAS, WE ALL HAVE GONE THROUH THE TRYING OF OUR FAITH, MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD!
Maybe today you are feeling the cold chill of disillusionment, maybe a dream you had, has died, maybe a promise you have held deal to your heart has not happened yet, then this story will surely help you see it is NOT over for you either.
Nothing will do your soul better than to feel the warmth of the bright coals of JESUS FIRE, AND THE MEAT AND BREAD HE OFFERS, WILL SURELY SATISFY YOUR ACHING HEART AGAIN. ONCE AGAIN THE MASTER CALLETH. “TO MY CHILDREN COME AND DINE!”

GOING FOR THE GOLD!

Going for the Gold” August 21,2016
The Olympics have been in full swing this summer, and I have enjoyed them as much as I always have. I am always reminded of how hard the athletes train, to be the best at their sport, these are the crème of the cop athletes performing on the biggest stage.
I see the true grit and determination, the nerves of steel in performing. one Olympic diver put it best – he said they train their whole life for 3 seconds. in that 3 second dive they give everything they have to try to be the best.
A gold ribbon life!
What is God looking for in us as His children? I BELIVE WE GET SOME GLIMPSES IN GODS WORD OF WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE STRIVING FOR.
Derek Redmond’s 1992 fall at Barcelona Olympic story (emotional: cries

I SEE THIS STORY HERE A SSYMBOLIC OF HOW OUR HEAVENLY FAYHER SEES US, AND COMES TO US IN THE RACE WHEN WE FALL, AND LIFTS U SON HOIS SHULDER, AND HELPS US TO THE FIBNISH LINE. I ALSO SEE THIS STORY AS TO HO WE ARE TO HELP EACH OTHER ALSO WHEN WE FALL DOWN TO GET BACK UO AND FINISH TEB RACE!!
(I CORINTHIANS 9:26) Therefore I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight like I am beating the air. 27No, I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
The JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST –
(2 Corinthians 5:10) 9So we aspire to please Him, whether we are here in this body or away from it. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad.
the picture here is of the judge of all eternity (Christ) sitting on the seat of judgement, hi authority present to judge – much like an Olympic judge- in fact the idea came to Paul know doubt when visiting Rome and Greece seeing the games there, and then being struck by the resemblance of the Bema- Greek for judgment seat.
The Olympian goes before the shrewd eyes of the Olympic judges, and hopes for fair treatment, and just reward based on his or her performance. In Christ every believer must pass before tee all seeing eyes of the Lord JESUS, and he will judge based on our character, motivation. Intent, all that make up our motives, and reasons for our service to Christ.
(1 Corinthians 3:12,13) 12If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work.
These works make up our life’s work, our service, our ministry, our devotion, our overall attitude, and the truth, and motivation of our works. Al tested by fire- by the all-seeing fiery eyes of our LORD, and he will place on our knack a medal (metaphorically speaking) will that medal be a GOLD, SILVER, OR BRONZE? This will be determined by how much we give, serve, and are sincere in our service,
The Lord doesn’t judge like man – he sees things as they truly are, not as they just appear to man, h sees what we do for him, when no one is around to notice, he knows whether what we do is truly for him, or for show, for other to see. He knows whether w do it out of pride, or truly it serves him, Jesus judges with honest and sincere judgement. When he makes a judgement on our life it is exact, perfect judgement. W east humans are incapable of judging this way, we have malice, we have hidden agendas, and we even may have favoritism in our judgement, nit Christ – he judges perfectly.
This judgment isn’t a judgment of sin or HELL. It is a judgment for Christians based on works alone. Not so a sin judgement. Our sin judgement was already accounted for in Christ.
So going back to an Olympic athlete and the training and the preparation, time spent practicing hours upon hours for a mere gold medal prize, and personal accomplishment. This is merely running for a perishable medal. One that will not last for eternity,
The Prize the goal the calling of the Christian is for a prize that is INperishable.
(I Corinthians 9:24) Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize. 25Everyone who competes in the games trains with strict discipline. They do it for a crown that is perishable, but we do it for a crown that is imperishable.
The e crown of righteousness
(2 timothies 4:7,8) 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day — and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.
The closing ceremonies are this evening, and I always see them as a symbolism for the end of the Christian journey, when we finally see our LORD face to face: cheer: as we get to stand before him and will be then given praise and handed our rewards- which we will gladly receive from him, then gladly cast them at hi sheet. The one who so wondrously died and rose again so we might have life with hi in eternity. We see all the Olympians standing holding flags representing their countries, we see this and we are glad our own country is represented. I see heaven though a more glorious picture, as We see Jesus. we see all the great saints, Peter, John, Paul, John, all the great men and women of God who inspired our journey, all gathered around the throne of GOD- WAVING ONE BANNER- WORTHY IS THE LAMB, SINGING, PRAISING HIS HOLY NAME! WHAT A GREAT CLOSING CEREMONY IT WILL BE IN HEAVEN AMEN!

Weapons of warfare series 3- teh sword of the Spirit

WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE SERIES- PART 3 The Sword of the spirit.

Bible says the weapons of our Warfare are not carnal, But Mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. 2nd Corinthians 10: 3 -5) the Bible also says having f these precious promises, let us move on to maturity.

Today we are going to When we begin to look at the weapon which is the sword of the spirit. We think of the sword that Jesus said he would use to fight the enemy with.
Reveltion 19:And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
What a picture of spiritual warfare. Jesus fighting off the Devil with a sword that comes out of his mouth. And this sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

If you have your Bible turn to

Ephesians chapter 6 :15) and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

That's why I'm doing this study on knowing you're weapons,.because I want you to be prepared for the battle that we are in right now. Some of you are in the Battle of your life right now, and you don't know what to do, you feel enemy breathing down your neck, and trying to destroy you.

Well I have some good news for you tonight. There is something you can do you've been given weapons, that are Mighty to the pulling down of strongholds, thoughts, ideas, anything that exalts itself above the knowledge of the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. 2nd Corinthians 10 3 3 - 5) the weapons are Mighty and they will pull down strongholds.

Learning to speak the word of God against problems. Once Jesus came to it that you're looking for fruit and found none. He cursed the tree and said it will never bear fruit again. When they came back by the tree. Peter studied the tree and saw that it was still cursed and dried up. Inquired of the Lord about it, and the Lord replied If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed ye shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and cast into the sea and it would obey you. I often wondered what Jesus was trying to teach them, but the only logical explanation is he was teaching them the power of the word of GOD coming out of their mouths.. to speak the word of God , Commanding demons to flee, sickness to go it will happen in Jesus name, and by Jesus by power. again back to binding and loosening, we've been given power over the strongholds and over the strongman. That Jesus talks about in Luke Chapter 11, Jesus refers to a greater one, a stronger one that would come and bind the strongman. And spoil his goods. This is referring to Jesus who is the greater one living in us amen. his death ,burial, and ressurection,

The bible says that greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. See this is what speaking the word of God is all about, it is claiming the promises that God is giving, and It's speaking forth the promises, and brings to pass the victory in those situations.

What kinds of situations should we aggressively speak the word of God against, how about sickness disease, how about sinful strongholds, Anything that rises up against the knowledge and blessing of God in our lives. the Fig Tree, represents everything that that goes against God.

Listen until we get fed up and realize that we don't have to accept the garbage Satan throws at our life, we Will continue to wallow in the mud, and live in Mediocrity. but it's time Will you rise up in the spirit of God, and take Authority in Christ. .There is no time for us to be wavering in our faith, or losing our perspective when it comes to victory in Christ.

The Sword of the spirit which is the word of God Paul calls it and t we need to wield the sword against the enemy in the battle. We need to know our Bible what it says, we need to know how to use it as an offensive weapon. Too many CHRISTIANS look at the Bible as just a book to read with good stories and principles for living. Although it might be true that it has principles of for living and good stories, but they seldom see it as a weapon. your Bible is an offensive weapon it is a sword that comes out of your mouth as well..

We can't fight the enemy on our own terms. We have to fight the enemy with the word of God that's been given to us.

example of this Is found in Luke chapter 4, And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’
Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him[d] all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority has been delivered to me . I will give You, and their glory; and I give to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
8 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan![e] For[f] it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”[g]
9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
‘He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you,’
11 and,
‘In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”[h]
12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”[i]
13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

3 different times the enemy presented himself to Jesus, with a temptation .Each question that you ask was a twisting of truth. and Each time Jesus answered it is written! this is a significant event, because it is where Jesus single-handedly defeated the devil on our behalf in every area of Temptation. But we see something here that is educational in understanding spiritual warfare. Jesus didn't handle Satan by using wisdom logic or anger or any of these things. He simply quoted the scripture appropriately. In the Bible tells us that was enough enough to send saying fleeing. The power of the sword of the spirit in your mouth, Will send the devil fighting every time.

The belt of truth

KNOWING The weapons of our Warfare series part 2 The belt of Truth

Well praise the Lord! we come to another study in this great subject of knowing the weapons of our Warfare. It is so important that we understand fully what is in our ArsENAL.. we have Mighty weapons from the Lord. To resist the devil, When we begin to study this vast subject of the armor and weapons comma leave again to see that each weapand to defeat all areas of and and darkness our lives.
If you've ever tried to run with a loose belt, it is no fun. Because you don't want to lose your pants in battle lol that's not a good thing. you don't want your government to slip down around your feet, because it would trip you up in battle.

on that God gives us has a specific purpose. So for instance tonight we're talking about the belt, and all of us here understand what the purpose of a belt is. A belt is used to hold up a garment. Peter 1:13Because of this, gird up the loins of your mind, be perfectly attentive and hope for the joy which is cEphesians 6:14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,

coming to you in the revelation of our Lord Yeshua The Messiah,

clothe (1), dressed in readiness (1), gird (1), girded - lamps lirt in preparedeness trimmed wick, oil in lamp is full.
to gird around (περί, III. 1); to fasten garments with a girdle: τήν ὀσφύν, to fasten one's clothing about the loins with a girdle (Jeremiah 1:17), passive, Luke 12:35. Middle to gird oneself: absolutely, Luke 12:37; Luke 17:8; Acts 12:8 Rec.; τήν ὀσφύν ἐν ἀλήθεια, with truth as a girdle, figuratively equivalent to to equip oneself with knowledge of the truth, Ephesians 6:14; with an accusative of the thing with which one girds himself (often so in the Sept
The phrase ‘loins girt about with truth’ literally means ‘to have the belt of truth around your waist’. Keep in mind that the apostle Paul is using a Roman soldier’s armor to describe the preparation of the Christian for spiritual combat. During the era of the Roman Empire when this was written, the Roman soldier had the most advanced armor of that era. The belt was a critical part of Roman armor for everything was held in place by it or anchored to it. Without the belt, the armor lost its effectiveness.

The first step in the Christian’s preparation is a foundation of truth. We now live in an era where truth is shunned. I once had someone approach me and declare confidently that there was no such thing as absolute truth. How can a culture have a foundation based on an assumption that nothing is absolute? Truly our modern culture is building its foundation on shifting sand.

Having the confidence that we can indeeI responded by asking, “Are you absolutely sure?” The claim that there is no such thing as truth is a logical contradiction for if that statement is true, then it also must be false. d know what is true provides us with a firm foundation on which to secure our armor and our lives upon. A house built on an unstable foundation is certain to fall. It may stand for a while, but when the foundation is stressed, it cannot stand. When terrorist destroyed the towers in New York in 2001, how many people turned to the atheist for strength or encouragement? Atheism thrives when circumstances are in control, but when the foundations are shaken or lives are in danger, no one converts to atheism for it provides no security when people need a foundation.
The same is true for our lives. Even those who reject truth appear strong as long as life remains in control, but when everything around us spirals out of control, only those founded upon the Rock will stand secure.
The belt was also Used to hold the soldiers knife and sword. So as a holster for the Sword of truth. So basically the belt served two purposes To hold the Garment up and keep secure and fastened the government from moving and shifting. the second purpose was to give a holster a place for the sword of truth and the life of the soldier to be carried and be easily accessible to the soldiers to be used at any given moment. so the belt routing the belt around our mind fastening the truth of the word of God to our very thoughts so that there is no slack in our mind concerning sin concerning the enemy. To gird up the loins of your mind is to think soberly in Albertly. cannot allow our minds to become slack or relaxed when it comes to guarding our thought life. how many times a day do we have thoughts that pop into your head that are just silly and stupid and they have nothing to do with anything of Truth or Justice or God. We don't act on these thoughts we don't even give them a minute honor, But nevertheless thoughts can become actions, if we do not stop them at the gate. Your job is a soldier of the Lord is to guard your own mind from wickdeness, not allowing anything to come in that would compromise the righteousness of the Lord. girding up your mind means to allow your mind to be always active and engaged in truth. Idol-mindness it's not a good thing, it's in times of being idle that the devil can sow seed in our mind and try to entrap us in some sin.

Active MINDS- The opposite of being idle minded is to be actively minded. And this is what the Lord is wanting us to be doing daily. To engage your mind in the memorization the reading in the study of the Holy scriptures, which are able to make us wise unto salvation Paul told Timothy. we should know the Bible so well that we can quote it whenever needed. Some of you are learning just by coming here to this chat room everyday because you're hearing the word in faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.I'm glad to see that there is starting to become a hunger and thirst for the word of God here. because to me that is the only way we can grow daily as a Christian. Engage are mined in the reading of scripture and the meditation of scripture causes our mind to be active for God. And it will prepare our minds for the battle that we are engaged in.

RENEWED MINDS- Romans 12-1 - 3) appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
The slack the Looseness in The mind, can lead to loose thinking, Loose living, and loose lips. It leads to an undisciplined Christian Life
God uses Doctrine in theology which is found in the scripture to tighten and to firm up our thinking. We must daily engage our minds Carmine's in actively reading studying and meditating on the word of God as we've already said, but it Bears repeating. The belt of Truth is establishing a firm grasp of what the Bible says around the foundation of your whole life. what a girdle does the principal is to tighten up to firm up, to pull together tightly. This is what the belt does it gets rid of all the slack it gets rid of all the loose ends.He also uses the Paul tells Timothy to study to show himself to proved to the Lord. In first Timothy chapter 3.
He also says we've been given doctrine and 2 teach us and train us in godliness.
studying apologetics. Which is giving a reasonable defense for why you believe in Jesus Christ. One of the things I've been saying all year long is that we all need to learn how to stand on her own two feet when it comes to defending Christ to the world and living for Christ and our own personal life. We need to know how to use the sword of the spirit which is the word of God and learn how to pray and learn how to stand on our own without having to depend on anyone else but the Holy Spirit. But God uses study room up to shape up the trim up and get rid of all the Loose Ends of our life so that we have a firm base and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

cost of freedom

THE COST OF FREEDOM
In America we celebrate the 4th of July we celebrate the independence of our country and the freedom that we have as Citizens. but to what we OWE all those who fought and sacrificed and gave their lives for this freedom. Galatians 5:1 Stand Fast therefore in the Liberty by which Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with the Yoke of bondage.

So I wanted to take a few minutes tonight to encourage us as Christians not just in America but wherever you may live ,to Rally you to give everything you have for the freedom and librerty that Jesus Christ himself gave one example i read recently in the civil war 1834 that inspired me of the bravery and courage of one man.
in shedding his life for us when he died on the cross, sacrificing his all for us.

Captain SMITH 22 yesr old - HERO DURING CIVIL WAR.
At Williamsburg, Virginia, one of the first major battles of the campaign, Capt. Smith would once again distinguish himself. Coming to the aid of Gen. Joseph Hooker’s troops, Gen. Berry’s brigade undertook a spirited counterattack and recaptured both territory and artillery yielded to the enemy.
Rallying the men under his command, Capt. Smith led a daring charge against a Rebel stronghold, overrunning the enemy position. After the smoke had cleared he was hailed as the “hero of the day” and introduced to General Philip Kearny, who mentioned the young officer’s bravery in a dispatch to Union headquarters. e spurred his mount over the enemy’s rifle pits into the thick of the fighting. Four Rebel bullets tore through his uniform, but Capt. Smith miraculously escaped injury. That night by the campfire Edwin Smith made the following entry in his journal, “We stood in arms amidst the enemy’s dead and dying, coldDashing forward on horseback, his sword drawn, h
, wet and weary enough.”
General Berry’s brigade wouldn’t be as fortunate in its next engagement with the Confederates. The ground fought over was swampy and thickly wooded, at a place called Fair Oaks. It was here on May 31st when the fighting was fiercest that Capt. Smith laid down his life for his country.
Again, casting thoughts of personal safety aside, he led a gallant charge of the 5th Michigan volunteers and was killed instantly when a Rebel bullet struck him in the temple.
General Berry was badly shaken after receiving news of his young officer’s death. “Better that I had lost a hundred men than that brave boy,” he told his subordinates. The general ordered Major H.L. Thayer, a staff officer, to mark the spot where Smith had fallen so that his body might be recovered after the fighting ceased.
That same day after dark, Major Thayer and three volunteers returned to the wooded swamp where their dead comrade lay. There they carefully placed his body in an army blanket and carried it back through an orchard to their encampment, a distance of about three miles.
The following morning, Capt. Smith’s remains were placed in a field ambulance and carried to the river to a waiting vessel. Afterwards Major Thayer was quoted as saying, “Advance pickets from the enemy were already firing on us from the further side of the orchard, this spot was hurriedly abandoned, except by some surgeons and their assistants, who volunteered to remain with the wounded.”
THE COURAGE OF THOSE WHO HAVE PREACHED The GOSPEL;
Writing to the Secretary of the church missionary Society Douglas M Thornton of Egypt that but I am weary, I be to be working now. and too tired to sleep, I am getting prematurely old, they tell me, and doctors do not give me long to live unless the strain is eased a bit. My wife is wearier than I am, .She needs complete rest a while. Oh that the church at home but realize one half of the opportunities of today.! will no one here the call ? Please do your best to help us.

The physical strain , the emotional toll that was taken upon these great missionaries, it's heart wrenching. This is the cost, the sacrifice that was paid. Whoever says it's easy, and that it Bares no burden, has no idea what serving Christ is all about. The Apostle Paul for example, preach the gospel to thousands of people by horseback, by ship, and by foot,He suffered shipwreck, death, Resurrection, he was Stoned to death, left for dead,, and then falsely imprisoned. All In The Name of Christ. .writing the letter to the Galatians chapter 5 verse 1. Paul says Stand Fast in the Liberty where in Christ has made us free. We can be assured that he's writing from a spirit of understanding of what it means.

Standing free- standing in strength,Because of what those That have done for in giving their lives and spilling their blood for the cause of Christ, and the advance of the Gospel.

What we must sacrifice today is Our very life. Reading from
Romans 12 1 -3) the beg of you my berthern by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a Living Sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.. Which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed tTo sacrifice our flesh nature daily, by renewing our minds to the word of God. and what the word of God says regarding such sin and evil practices. It's vital to our spiritual growth and it will can cause us to continue to walk in accordance with God's will in our daily liveso this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind comma that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Overcoming The fleshly desires of Sin, sacrificing those impulses that draws away from God, is needed today by all who love Jesus. be renewed in the spirit of your mind Paul said, this is the growing part of the Christian Life

in the mid eighteen hundreds at Gettysburg Pennsylvania, we have what is called the field of blood , after all the smoke cleared from the bombing the s hooting, The Killing there were thousands of soldiers laying dead on that field. All for the cost of Freedom. 2000 years ago in a field of blood called Calvary. Jesus hung and died on a cruel Roman cross, to give us the greatest freedom of all. Freedom from guilt and sin.
.
Indeed Freedom comes with a price, and it is costly. Let us be willing to give All to Jesus.

KEEPERS OF THE LIGHT

KEEPER'S DUTIES

MATTHEW 5:16) Being a Light KEEPER -Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds .

The Lighthouse has always served to remind us of the similarities between its beaming light and Christ our shining Saviour!

It is very astounding to me to read the various portions of the lightkeeper handbook from 1929 U.S Government Edition, as it compares to the duties of Christians shining the light on the open waterways of the lost world.

Being a lighthouse keeper was not a 9-to 5 job. A typical tour of duty began before dusk and continued well past dawn.

Being a light Keeper was not a nine-to-five job, neither is being a keeper of the light for Christ a nine-to-five job, but it is very demanding, and requires us to be always willing at any given moment 24/7 a day to share the good news of Jesus Christ with anyone that is asking us for the hope that is in us. The light keeper tended to his routine, did essential duties, made repairs as needed,in contrast to Christians repairing the souls of men!
ACTS 15:26) Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Constant and faithful attention to their duties shall be required of all persons in the service, and no employees shall be absent from his station or duty without authority,” states Instructions To Employees of the United States Lighthouse Service in its 1927 edition. Lives depended on the light keeper. And the light keeper depended on the 124-page Instructions To Employees of the United States Lighthouse Service as the official orders and procedures of the U.S

(REVELATION 1:5)and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood. Christ is the faithful light keeper- his life sacrificed is the light we shine!

. We to have a book- a guide book also -the word of GOD.so we are not ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The seriousness of our calling to be a light in the Darkness, requires us to take seriously our daily reading of scripture and knowing what our handbook or guide book says every day. amen. I mean if the keeper of the lighthouse had to be a faithful servant to the task of shining the light to Wayward Travelers by ship. How much more us who are giving out eternity to those around us, should we be diligent to know the word .

Lives also depend on Christians sharing the Eternal Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world around us
2 Timothy 2:15-King James Version- Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed. a workman every day amen.!

As keepers of the light we need to keep diligently the word of God ever before us. we need to study to show ourselves approved unto God, and we must at all cost, defend the truth in our Bibles daily.

On Duty

Lights must be exhibited punctually at sunset and kept lighted at full intensity until sunrise.

We must be punctual too , and disciplined .so that we can be the best possible Light Keeper for Jesus Christ. the preparation of the gospel of peace in Ephesians chapter 6 :16- talks about how we need to have our shoes shod or custom fit - ready prepared everyday for the task of declaring the good news of Christ.

Our duties as lightkeepers for the glory of Jesus Christ don't end after the evening watch -they don't end during the day, but they continue on.The task is monumental,. but the Lord is with us, and has given us his Spirit and POWER!

We as Christians are on duty every day of our life from the minute we get saved to the day we die, or the Rapture comes. And our duties and responsibilities include preparation in order to Shine the Light. We must be equipped amen! we must be prepared we must be always daily seeking the Lord, and being filled with the power to be lights shining in the Darkness.

In the handbook or a Lighthouse Keeper it said the lights must be exhibited punctually and kept lighted at full intensity. think about how much this relates to the Christian's duty to shine the light at full intensity in punctuality and to be always about doing that as a light Shiner as a light bearer for Christ, always shining the light for his glory amen.

The keeper first inspected the Fresnel lens and its many prisms, which were cleaned that morning. The lamp that produced the light was checked and the supply of fuel refilled. The wick was trimmed and lighted.

(MATTHEW 25:4) But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps we need to make sure that we clean the lens of the Lamp till there there's no stain, no grime of sin, there was no marks of selfishness blocking the light from shining as bright as it possibly can. We also need to make sure that we don't have any fingerprints on the lens from self- pride arrogance conceit. So anything that would have obstructed the light from shining, needs to be removed from the lens immediately AMEN.
(Matt 6:22)22 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your vision is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

Just like the keeper of the lighthouse we must inspect the lens to make sure it was clean and make sure that it has fuel and in that the wick is trimmed. we as Christians need to do this as well. In our times of study and meditation of the word of God, when we are not actively shining the light, we need to inspect the lamp that produces the light we need to check the supply of oil in make sure that our lamp is full of oil in order for the Holy Spirit to shine brightly through us to be will be full of light.
MATTHEW 6:23 But if your vision is poor, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “

At stations having one or more assistant keepers, watches must be kept and so divided. At stations having no assistant, the keeper must not leave the light for at least half an hour after lighting, in order to see that it is burning properly, and must visit the light at least twice between 8 p.m. and sunrise, and on stormy nights must be constantly looked after.” The light must be constantly looked after.

This statement is powerful, and is so true When it relates to the Christian sharing the light with the Lost World. The light must be constantly looked after it must be constantly set in motion to the Church of Jesus Christ. There must never be a time that we are shining this glorious light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are in unbelief. The light also must be looked after to make sure it is burning properly, amen. The gospel must be preached in truth, it must be preached correctly by the power of the holy spirit amen. Also we notice here that in the lighthouse handbook. That there were assistant Keepers and Watchers and they were divided into shifts and this was important because when somebody was relieved of Duty there needed to be somebody else present the lighthouse must never go without someone keeping the light amen.

Lights Out

At dawn, the keeper turned off the lamp by turning off the fuel that had kept the wick burning throughout the night. The keeper then proceeded to clean the lens. “Clean lens and lantern daily. (a) To clean lens wipe with soft linen cloth and finally polish with a thorough dry buff skin. … (b) All material used for cleaning lens or lantern glass must be free from grit of any kind.” .Again the importance of cleaning the lens of the lamp of the lighthouse, it's here in the handbook. When the duties of watching in the night are over, and the day time has come now comes. The preparation for the next night watch begins - now comes the cleansing of the of the lens to make sure that all the dirt and grit was off of the lens so that it

Dressed for the Occasion

Uniforms were introduced in 1883. At the time, the then Lighthouse Board advised: “It is believed that uniforming the personnel of the service, some 1,600 in number, will aid in maintaining its discipline, increase its efficiency, raise its tone, and add to the spirit ,

After all Put on the full armor of GOD -Ephesians chapter 6 :10-16) talks about putting on the full armor of God. and this is the Christians uniform. just as the Lighthouse Keeper had a uniform, so does the Christian. and we should wear it proudly, for it is the full armor of God that keeps us in battle, and helps us to continue to be a keeper of the light. The uniform that we wear of the whole armor -creates discipline, increases efficiency and raises the spirit within us

Emergency Preparedness

The keeper was prepared to deal with the unexpected. This is true of the Christian Soldier we must always be prepared at any given moment for any emergency that comes up, for anyone that needs prayer or needs the gospel. We should always be looking for opportunities to help those in need. And at any time, the keeper was ready to respond to shipwrecks. “It shall be the duty of lightkeepers and their assistants, and officers and crews of vessels of The Lighthouse Service, to give or summon aid to vessels in distress, whether public or private, and to assist in saving life and property from perils of the sea whenever it is practicable to do so.”

At any time the keeper had to be ready to respond to shipwrecks distress of any kind in be always ready to assist in Saving life from Perils of the sea whenever it was practical to do so. And how this relates to the Christian in the work that we do in shining the light of Jesus Christ of the world we must enter ourselves into this with full vigor and be ready to answer any distress of anyone that is out there perishing in the sea of life. THIS IS A TRUE SAYING JESUS CHRIST CAME INTO THE WORLD TO SAVE SINNERS!" LET US SHINE to Optimum level.

LET US SHINE to Optimum level.

Our light must keep shining toward people who need to see the Lord Jesus Christ in His glory; May our good works in GOD glorify and testify to Jesus Christ amen.

Taking leave

The lighthouse required a qualified person to be on duty at all times, easily done at larger lights with a keeper and assistant keepers to take over from one another. Lighthouse could never be left unattended. T

This is an amazing statement and one day we need to ponder on for a few minutes here at the close of this message. When you think about the importance and the extraordinary responsibility that A Light Keeper had to keep the ships safe at Sea and to guide Wayward Travelers in to help guard against rocks and all these different disasters. It makes us realize the importance of the lighthouse. Taking this into consideration when we consider the Christian Life and the fact that we are keepers of the light of Jesus Christ and I'm responsible to shine his light to the world

Benefits

Pay was below the average what the keepers should have earned .In the private sector for comparable work but in line with government pay. In 1940, at the end of his career, George Thomas, the last keeper assigned to Sea Girt by the U.S. Lighthouse Service, was earning $1,680 a year.

The pay wasn't much for a Keeper of the lighthouse, for someone who did such an extraordinary thing the pay should have been much greater. But so it is with Christians who live and sacrifice for the sake of Christ in shining the light to a lost and Dying World. The pay is Never Enough and never could be, but rewards are in Heaven. A place next to the throne of God, with a crown on our head that's the reward of being a keeper of the light

The light shines in darkness and the Darkness comprehended it not.

It makes us understand that we have an extraordinary responsibility as well. one that we need to take very seriously. The lighthouse can never be unattended there always has to be somebody there to shine the light.

The problem is in the Church of Jesus Christ too many churches have left their posts have left the light house unattended and souls are going to an eternal hell. It moves us today to see that by this little example of reading the 1929 Lighthouse handbook, it shows us how much we need as Christians to be even more diligent than light keepers of of a lighthouse. We need to be more diligent because we have something that's Eternal not just temporary, but Eternal at stake. The Souls of men and women all over the world. We must make sure that we learn from this today the importance of doing all we can to be keepers of the light.

We are a city set on a hill that is lit up and cannot be hid people look at Christians and they're looking to see if they can find a light that will lead them to Christ. And we have this light and we must keep it for the sake of all that need to follow Jesus Christ.

MOTIVATION

Motivation for any keeper came in the quarterly visits by an inspector from the District Office who inspected the lighthouse and graded the keeper on its condition and operation. Low-rated keepers risked reprimand, reassignment or dismissal

We don't know when our savior is going to come The motivation of the Lighthouse Keeper besides the fact that he was sworn to a duty. was the overriding fact that his superiors could come at any moment and inspect the lighthouse. the parallel between that and Christ coming back to his church to inspect it and to judge at the judgement seat of Christ is uncanny.

The motivation as Paul said was Christ coming to inspect our lives. .as the parables warn ,He may come in time when we think not. and we must be found faithful!

Top-rated keepers were awarded the Inspector’s Efficiency Star, a gold-star medal the keeper could wear for the next twelve months. The Efficiency Star program aimed “to

And so it is with with Christians who receive rewards from our Lord and Master, we to wait for his return so that we may receive a crown and unfading Crown of Glory -that will always reflect our love and service to Jesus Christ. Amazing the parallel between a Lighthouse Keeper and the keeper of the light for Jesus Christ amen.!

While often repetitious, the work of a lighthouse keeper was invaluable. A keeper not only carried a weighty responsibility but also the satisfaction of helping people every day by keeping bright the light that guided countless ships – their crews, pass

Compare this with being a Christian and having the repeated duty of being The Keeper of the light to those who are in darkness around us. This is even a greater service and even a more invaluable and weighty responsibility than that of a Lighthouse Keeper. And we do have as Christians of personal satisfaction that we are doing a service helping people every day pointing them to Christ and giving Hope For Eternity in this great Shining Light that is Jesus Christ. Amen

I hope that the study of the lighthouse in the Christian Life and the parallels between a Lighthouse Keeper in a keeper of the light for price will bring you a new revelation of how important it is to be a witness for Christ and shine his glorious gospel to the world around us. Amen

"The Traitor living within us"

The Traitor living within us 2/25/16

We have been talking about Revival and the need for it in the church, and well the truth is we all need Revival and in order to receive the revival we have to let it begin with us, we have to be willing to understand the one thing that always stands in our way of going further with God is our selves our flesh.
In order to deal with the flesh, we need to understand the flesh, and have really good discernment of how the flesh is the greatest traitor and enemy to the Christians life, Satan uses our flesh to form an unholy alliance against Christ in us.
The Biblical definition of the flesh
Romans 6:1) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you
Doctrine- the teaching of Paul regarding the supernatural power of grace the energizo- of the Holy Spirit that delivers us from sin nature or the flesh.
Paul calls the flesh the old man- corrupted by deceitful lusts. (Ephesians 4:22) 22that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, …
Deceitful is rendered from the Hebrew definition of the heart of man – (Jeremiah 17:9) the word deceit denotes a traitor one that deceives using lies and trickery, one that bargains for something or decides to get what it wants, this flesh nature within us, (Like Esau who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew)
In our flesh lives no good thing. (romans 7:18) For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.
The traitor within is our flesh nature which will go not any extreme to take allegiance wit Satan. The flesh was created through Adam and eves sin in the garden – when sin entered the world.
And we see sin takes occasion to work in us Paul says -the flesh if it is allowed to reign in our moral bodies, it will weaken us, and cause us to lose the heart of GOD, it a thief of the worst kind trying to steal and rob us of our relationship with God. the Christian who lives under the power of the flesh will die slowly spiritually, sin will like a corpse slowly kill our heart for Christ.
The Laodicean dilemma- IN Revelation 3- we see how this church was ruled by the flesh, and lost the fie of first love for CHRIST. They were carnal sold back to sin -bought back to destruction by carnal desires, sold in the slave block of carnal appetites to live in the miserable bondage of the TRAITOR WITHIN!
The traitor within sells us out and turns us back over to the devil-the traitor within!
30 pieces of sliver JUDAS –
The traitor sold our Lord out for a lousy 30 pieces of Silver-Mathew 26:15) Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests 15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. 16 From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.
The betrayer within all of us is our flesh-
Don’t be fooled by temptation- it is the betrayer coming to betray Christ in you, it is the flesh, the traitor trying to sell us back to Satan for a lousy token 30 pieces of silver (figuratively)
Paul said crucify the flesh with its evil deeds. (Galatians 5: Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
You cannot let the flesh live, you can’t make a deal with the flesh, compromise and Luke -warmness are a stench in Gods nostrils, do not let a trace of the flesh live-
THE Baptism of: fire: JOHN BAPTIST TALKED ABOUT HE WILL THOUROUGHLY CLEANSE OUR HEARTS.
(MATTHEW 3: 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
THE CLEANSING FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL BURN UP ALL SIN IN US
FOREVER.
And the traitor within once and for all will be crucified with Christ! Glory to God!
