A Theory of Sensory Devolution

by Fd. Uncle Emanuel Watkins

Natural Law -- While every quantity of organic and inorganic substance in the universe is either a sense organ or a sense organ in a rudimentary state, the quality of perception is ever improved by the devolution of sense organs into secondary characteristics. Such secondary characteristics might be fingernails, eyelids, arms, legs, fingers, toes, reproduction, knowledge, and so on.

On the matter of original thought, I'd like to take full credit for the idea of Sensory Devolution, but I can't. Sir Isaac Newton himself is referenced in The Leibnez-Clarke correspondence in the appendex on page 174 stating:

And these things being rightly dispatch'd, does it not appear that there is phenomena that there is a Being incorporeal, living, intelligent, Omnipresent, who is infinite space, as it were in his sensory, sees the things themselves intimately, and thoroughly perceives them, and comprehends them wholly by their immediate prescence to himself; of which things the images only carried through the organs of sense into our little sensoriums, are there seen and beheld by that which in us perceives and thinks.

Natural Law: as the infinite universe reduces to a single sense organ, the universe reduces to one dominate color of green. Every color including black and white are different shades of green.
