I particularly miss the glory days of fanfiction, when there were multiple sites, like Marvel Anthology and Avengers 2000, that collated groups of stories into their own shared universes. Laura Kelly (D) allowed a controversial bill that could block minors from accessing LGBTQ+ content online to become law. Last Friday, Senate Bill 394 became law. Yes, it's STILL terrible that we have to compromise on human rights... Melissakainen: WASHINGTON (AP) โ The Supreme Court is allowing Idaho to enforce its ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth while lawsuits over the law proceed, reversing lower courts. The justices' order Monday allows the state to put in a place a 2023 law that subjects physicians to up to 10 years in prison if they provide hormones, puberty blockers or other gender-affirming care to people under age 18. Melissakainen: We need to be impeaching Justices. We should have started impeaching them already, and Thomas YEARS ago. Sunny B Blessed: OMG WTF? I wish there was a way to get rid of crooked judges and justices. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way, as they are literally above the law. In fact, I thought were were to have equal branches of government, but the SCOTUS seems to be the the most powerful by far. We are so fecked. Melissakainen: A recent watchdog complaint is asking the Federal Elections Commission to investigate the more than $630,000 given to a Cruz-aligned super PAC. The money comes from iHeartMedia, who bankrolls and runs the โVerdict with Ted Cruzโ podcast. Whether or not they have successfully exploited a loophole in campaign financing law is still unclear. But now I don't want my workplace playing them anymore! |
