Friends | lupedediablo: Does ending socialism also include the ending of corporate socialism? Where wealthy multinational corporations receive huge tax write offs and subsidies from the government at the taxpayers expense. It doesn't pay to hoard nickels and dimes while billions of dollars are siphoned out of our economy by the wealthy elite 3 years ago • Reply • Report • Link Collapse Show Comments (13) 3 TwistedGoddess: yes 3 years ago • Reply • Report 0
TwistedGoddess: ending socialism is the ending the Marxist ideology that created some of our economic problems 3 years ago • Reply • Report 0 lupedediablo: Most of our economic problems are the result of corporate greed and the inequitable distribution of wealth. "Socialist" programs would not be necessary if there was a more level economic playing field 3 years ago • Reply • Report 2 TwistedGoddess: socialism has destroyed more countries it has never been successful 3 years ago • Reply • Report 0 lupedediablo: And capitalism hasn't exactly created universal prosperity and social harmony either. It allows you to make a profit for your hard work and allows you to make more money by saving up and investing in creating new businesses which results in creating new jobs which results in creating new opportunities for people. It allows for competition which creates innovation and that ultimately is a great thing because it results in more choices for customers. This system is so good that if you fail or succeed it's entirely on you and you can't blame anyone or credit anyone but yourself for what you do. In capitalism, your life style is what you make it. Your success and failures is in YOUR HANDS! 3 years ago • Reply • Report 1 TwistedGoddess: The taxes are different those have nothing to do with capitalism. that is politicians protecting their own money. that's why vote for the tax breaks. 3 years ago • Reply • Report 0 delling: I believe in MMT and a UBI. The UBI long predates Marxism. I've never read anything by Marx, or care about socialism. Whatever the system that a country uses is as good as the people running it. Doctrines are meaningless. If you look at the "socialist" countries, they rate at the top and the bottom of the Corruption Perceptions Index.
