lionskillprey: What about hell... is a god that made hell... a place of eternal torment ... worthy of our worship...

You forget about hell and what it is so you can feel good about your god and yourself

Theist are great at preaching but not very great at thinking....

what about the Fact that your god desires constant worship ... what about the fact that your god is so self centered that he would commit most of the world to hell simply because they do not believe in god ...

Hell is torment.... How could a merciful and loving god create such a place?

hell for unbelievers... for unbelievers, not just the sinful, unbelievers.. What sort of God do you worship? ...

a vengeful, vindictive, god

Empty_Everest: The main problem that we theist have is, the disregard of the logical thought, the reason to be is the delusional belief that we're the owners of the truth, when in reality no one is the owner of the truth. As a parent I will never condemn my children for having a different point of view than mine, for this reason the eternal scorn from the Creator it's total BS, but is a form of human control in order to make sense of our environment.

The irony it's that when we become religious our true Nature comes out (which is the purpose of the Scriptures), that we hate everyone, we have conditional love, we feel above others, we want to control others, and we don't enjoy the success of others. The reason we eliminate logic is, because we have to make sense of our environment with a religious mind set, and if we question all the basis of our beliefs it collapses, and the invention and investment in the afterlife makes sense... hell and heaven.

We religious request the Creator to change others, as a bribe, the Creator fulfilling my need to control others, for them to change and make me feel good, a completely egotistical prayer. The fact is that I cannot attain the love for G-d if I don't love His Creation 1st.

The Scriptures have a reason to be and is to discover who and what we really are, within ourselves, we are shattered (part of the whole) we don't see it in ourselves but in others, because we're reflection of each other.

There three types of faith, faith beneath reasoning, faith within reasoning, and faith above reasoning... all this faiths have to merge into one, in order to be in balance, in the middle line.

As an example of the three types of faith merge into one,
I take part of the Scripture that says Mathew 12:30 "Whoever is not with me is against me" I take this as a truth (faith beneath reasoning) and I reject you because you don't believe in G-d. That emotional and intellectual rejection (intellectual because I make calculated excuses to justify my intolerance towards you).

I have to question and scrutinise my actions (faith within reasoning) to discover the true intentions of my rejection towards you... Why do I reject you?, Why do I see you beneath me?, Why am I angry at you?... I get angry when things don't go my way and because you have a different point of view than mine it's upsetting, and a desire to control you... to change you... I see you beneath me because I feel to be the owner of the truth and you are wrong... I reject you because my main nature is being a pleasure seeker, and you evoke rejection within me which isn't pleasurable and I avoid none pleasures. So my rejection has nothing to do with the Scriptures at all... but all about me. The scrutiny allows me to discover my intention hidden behind my actions... which is to satisfy the self.

Faith above reasoning James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
Taking this as faith beneath reasoning, then I question... Why was this rejection to you given to me? I have to discover the beauty of the gift with faith above reasoning... that is given to me with love, to discover my true Nature, I'm egotistical... I give thanks to the Creator for the gift and I ask Him to change my Nature.
"It is not incumbent upon you to complete the work, but neither are you at liberty to desist from it" (Avot 2:21) ...

In the spiritual reality there aren't sins only experiences and corrections. The G-d that I love (and sometimes I don't when unable to use the 3 types of faith, because my ego has increase) is teaching me to correct my egotistical nature, and He has allowed me to discover that I'm an egotistical bitch, I have no problem accepting my nature... because... How can I correct what I don't see?

DestinyZion: Hi lions, thanks for sharing. Personally, I don't believe in hell as you've described. I think it's terrible that people preach about such a place. I agree with you and EE... it makes no sense at all. I'd love to have a discussion with you sometime about it.
