 Friends         |  late4dinner: We seem to be heading for uncharted waters. This letter should be a reminder of our heritage. A Letter to the Editor So many letter writers have explained how this land is made up of immigrants. Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people why today's Australian is not willing to accept the new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 (after federation) when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to Australia, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and be documented. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new Australian households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home. They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labour laws to protect them. All they had were the skills, craftsmanship and desire they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity. Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out.Australians fought alongside men whose parents had come straight over from Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Russia, Sweden, Poland and so many other places. None of these first generation Australians ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Australians fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the Freedom as one people. When we liberated France, no-one in those villages was looking for the Ukrainian-Australian or the German-Australian or the Irish-Australian. The people of France saw only Australians.And we carried one flag that represented our country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an Australian. And here we are in 2014 with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges, but not to learn or speak English. They want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes an Australian passport and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. That's not what being an Australian is all about. Australians have been very open-hearted and open-minded regarding immigrants, whether they were fleeing poverty, dictatorship, persecution, or whatever else makes us think of those aforementioned immigrants who truly did ADOPT our country, and our flag and our morals and our customs. And left their wars, hatred, and divisions behind. I believe that the immigrants who landed in Australia in the early 1900s deserve better than that for the toil, hard work and sacrifice.I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags, fighting foreign battles on our soil, making Australians change to suit their religions and cultures, and wanting to change our country's fabric by claiming discrimination when we do not give in to their demands. It's about time we get real and stand up for our forefathers rights. We are AUSTRALIANS! Lest we forget it!!! NO MORE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. NO MORE not saying CHRISTMAS in our stores and in our schools. I eat pork, I drink beer and I want my Australia back! In some cultures,, individuals of transgender or homosexual identity were seen as touched by the Gods and often made priests.That would have made their very existence a threat to monotheism. At that point, the person trying to get some should stop immediately. Most rapes happen with people you know and by the same person(s) repeatedly. We all need to be educated on that matter what rape is (by definition) what fits and does not fit the definition, the meaning of consent... ALL of it. It is important. Some people that have sex with a drunk person may not know that it is considered "RAPE". Some people that are trying to have sex with another person may not know that the other does not want is due to LACK OF COMMUNICATION. We all need to be aware and know all about it. Australia to gain 'Halal Certification' otherwise they will be proscribed and banned from Muslim custom.

"We at Dick Smith 's have received a number of letters from people asking if we will be putting the Muslim
Halal logo on our food.
To acquire Halal certification, payment is required to the endorsing body (the Islamic Council) and involves a
number of site inspections of both our growers and processors in order to ensure that our practices comply
with the conditions of Halal certification.
It is important to note that this does not reflect the quality of the food being processed or sold – it only
means that the products are approved as being prepared in accordance with the traditions of the Muslim
faith.
We are aware of an increasing number of large companies both in Australia and overseas, such as Kraft and
Cadbury, who have obtained accreditation to use the Halal logo. We don’t believe they have done this because
of any religious commitment but rather for purely commercial reasons. Perhaps these large organisations
can afford to do this.
While we have a choice however, we would prefer to avoid unnecessarily increasing the cost of our products
in order to pay for Halal accreditation when this money would be better spent continuing to support important
charitable causes where assistance is greatly needed.
We point out that we have never been asked to put a Christian symbol (or any other religious symbol) on our
food requiring that we send money to a Christian organisation for the right to do so.
Others would add that money paid to ANY Muslim 'organisation' (and you had better believe it: these people
ARE 'organised' can easily find its way into the hands of Islamic extremist-fanatics and murderers,
irrespective of assurances to the contrary.
What other assurances do we accept from Muslims?
Oh, that's right,
'Islam is a religion of PEACE'!
How less Australian can companies get, than to place money into the hands of those who seek to exploit us?"
This is an example of how the leaders of Muslims in Aus/NZ are bullying large commercial organisations
(especially in the food industry) into paying what is no more than blatant extortion money. The amazing part
is that these weak-kneed organisations (Cadbury/ Schweppes/ Nestles/ Kraft etc.) actually pay the large
sums demanded by these self-appointed religious bureaucrats. Of course, the manufacturers promptly pass this levy
on to unwitting consumers as cost increases. Next time you buy a block of Cadbury's chocolate,
look for the Halal Certification seal on the wrapper. So, regardless of your own
religious faith, you end up subsidizing Islam.
The Council also controls the Muslim voter bloc which, as yet, does not have sufficient critical mass to
make a difference - but give them time.
Several state jurisdictions are under pressure to adopt or permit Sharia Law in Marriage, Family and Property
matters and some, under the delusion that they are being progressively liberal, are permitting this. This has
already happened in some local authorities in the U.K.
Google the U.K. Education Department's current investigation into the conduct of Muslim-run schools in the
Birmingham area of England .
How many more warnings do people need?
Check the produce on the shelf and don't buy anything Muslim extorted.
