Ok....This will be the last update for a while.....since my brother is doing much better...
My brother is much better, prayer is so powerful!!!!!....I was helping him eat, very small bites, and he tolerated that well. Hopefully he will be moving to a rehabilitation facility soon, depends on his progress over the next few days. The rehab facility will help him get his strength back, help him work towards getting off of the ventilator and maybe some day the trach will be removed. It's amazing how well he is doing, I think he surprised some people....
Just want to say everyone who was thinking about him and saying prayers. You just don't know how much that meant to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My brother is improving every day...He is still in ICU, on the ventilator, but is taking breaths on his own, and is off for short periods of time. He is more awake and answering us appropriately. He still has a long haul in front of him, but I think the thoughts and prayers are what got him this far. He is a fairly strong willed person, so hopefully will see improvement every day!!! Prayers are still greatly appreciated...

My brother is receiving minimal sedation. He remains with his trach and ventilator to assist his breathing...but he is awake...responding appropriately, and even some complaining, lol....He still has a long haul, and will still need prayers...so if you could just keep them coming I would so greatly appreciate it...He isn't out of the woods yet, but showing some improvement....Thank you all for your well wishes!!

My brother is still in stable condition, no improvement, and no decline. One good thing is that they possibly found an infection that can be treated. He is still on the ventilator, and heavily sedated, so we are not getting much of a response from him. He had a high fever, so they put him on a cooling mat. It's a waiting game, and they are doing what needs to be done....Please if you would still keep him in your prayers....I am so grateful for my friends and family!

My brother will be getting a procedure tomorrow that will be more of a permanent airway to his neck area, called a tracheaostomy. This is due to the length of time he has been on the ventilator, the machine to assist in his breathing. They feel he will benefit from the trach which will give him a better airway. He is still stable, but little to no progress. Please if you would...keep sending your prayers. He is on numerous prayer chains, and family and friends are praying for him every day. Thank you!

Hello all you lovely wire friends.... you all.

Just wanted to update you on my brother. He is in ICU, and on a ventilator to help him breathe. I am only saying this because I would greatly appreciate it if everyone would say some prayers, and send some positive energy his way. He is currently stable, is heavily sedated and resting comfortably, but they are seeing little to no progress. He will remain in the ICU for a period of time until they see progress.
