Victims of any other felony aren't treated as if they asked for it. A victim of a mugging isn't asked why were you carrying a wallet? Were you walking on the sidewalk alone? Why weren't you watching your surroundings? I've put in over 5000 hours of volunteer and paid work in the field of sexual assault. Crisis line, victim advocate, education. .. attended sexual assault conferences, taught training sessions.... and didn't report it when I was sexually assaulted. And I know better.
