Karen33405: I’ve mentioned this before. There is a glitch on Wire where the system unbeknownst to you put a block on your friends. The way you can tell it’s a system glitch is if you look at that person’s profile, they are blocked AND still friended to you at the same time. Normally, when you block somebody, the system immediately unfriends them from you. So check your settings and look at the list of people that are on block. You may find some that were not meant to be blocked by you.
attydallas3: I wondered about that, Caren*** .. Also, there have been times when I tried to view one of my friend's profiles or pics, and W.C. would yet say "you have to befriend this person to view their profile", etc. wth??? Oh well, you get what you pay for .. &:-) Paul
Jewcess: Yeah its annoying af there's also a thing where if you try to have your friends unblock you it makes someone you have blocked unblocked and they can message you
Karen33405: Yes, as Jewcess mentions, in addition to friends getting blocked without your knowledge, the other part of the glitch is people you intentionally blocked became unblocked.
Sunny B Blessed: The only issue I see with this, is the part about going to look at the person's profile. These days, most women have their profile's closed to everyone.
Jewcess: But it should be a choice, right now myself and leanne have our pages closed because of people like itzlot/ethan who jump on our pages to call us cnt and other great things he thinks women like to be called
Karen33405 in reply to Sunny B Blessed: Sunny, true. You can't see if they blocked you but you can still see if you're friended with them. Only way to know is if you try to reply to their post or message them and get the notification that you have been blocked.
Sunny B Blessed in reply to Jewcess: I don't know if this is true or not, but a smart person on Wireclub told me that if people jump on your feed to curse at you or to troll, that you can report them to Wireclub and they will be punished somehow. I really don't know, as I've never had my profile open.
TwistedGoddess: Yeah because for some reason blocking them doesnt stop them from liking images or posts. Nor does it stop them from reacting to posts so you go closed profile to them from seeing anything.
When you find one of your friends on your blocked list, it is not a glitch.
It means that you have blocked another account that is coming from the same IP as the friend on your list that you find blocked.
It means that they have more then one account coming from the same IP address.
What is an IP address in simple terms?
An IP address, or simply an "IP," is a unique address that identifies a device on the Internet or a local network. It allows a system to be recognized by other systems connected via the Internet protocol.
It isn't a glitch though, it is the way the block system on Wire is set up.
When you block a person, you are NOT blocking their account...you are blocking their IP address.
NOTE- also if you unblock your friend (that you find blocked) the system will automatically unblock all blocked accounts on the same IP address. That is why you find people suddenly unblocked when you unblock the friend.
lavenderskies048: Simply tell said person : back off: and ignore them...unfortunately moms reading this, does NOT work on husband or children I tried for years..
Also wanted to mention I like your use of the word "unbeknownst"
Thanks again

Hope this helps
It should also be noted that when you see a grayed out name on your block list...don't delete the grayed out name from your blocked list.
Leave the grayed out name there.
The system will continue to recognize your block (even though the account is deleted) and block any new accounts generated from the same IP address.
How can that be explained?
I asked. I was told that when you block an account, you are actually blocking the IP address.
After that, I tried it out for myself with (4) other people.
I think it is an awesome feature.
Karen33405 said: Also, there are people I did intentionally block but they mysteriously became unblocked.
How can that be explained?
My reply;
They became unblocked when you unblocked one of your friends.
The system blocks the IP address when you block an account and blocks all other accounts that log on from that IP address.
The system also unblocks ALL accounts associated with the IP address when you unblock just (1) of the accounts associated with the IP address.
So if you have (7) accounts from the same IP address blocked and you unblock (1) of them...all (7) unblock.
At any rate. Just thought I would let you know that it isn't a glitch. The system works the way it was intended to.
