Justin_the_guy in reply to islandgirl7700: How were unmarried women treated in the 1930s?:
Women's wages were meagre compared with those of men. The civil service, the education sector and nursing all operated a “marriage bar”, which meant women had to resign when they married. Unmarried women were “spinsters”, a disparaging term. Same-sex relationships were not to be mentioned.

<<see??? thats why once upon time. it was mandatory for women to be married by a certain age.
but look at the population these days.
women are just a bunch of female slang terms. woes, whores, cunts, tramps, bitches, and sluts.
they just whore around these days.

& end up having multiple baby daddies, and have how many bf's???. rather then look for their husbands, and look for the man who is gonna be a good father.

Why was life hard for women in the 1930s?
Without making a concentrated push for equal rights, women were forced to accept specialized roles in the domestic sphere or reduced status in the "man's world." Lulled by messages of women's sphere, the American women of the '30s returned to their homes or accepted their low-status jobs with the unsettling notion that.

<<see??? women were feeling like they were missing out. becuz they were not aloud to work at certain jobs that men were only aloud to work in.
like a police officer, or a prison guard.
So women got their rights in the 1960s & now loook at them. they deep down hate their jobs.

thats why they act the way they do on their jobs, they dont care they get fired, or what happens to their clients or patients.

How badly were women treated in the past?:
Throughout much of history, and across many cultures, women have been second class citizens. In the UK girls were rarely educated to the same level as boys. Professions or roles that provided power or money were often barred to women. Any money they had often went to their husbands on marriage.

<<see??? they had no power. men ruled everything. becuz men were meant to be providers.

where as now, women are getting more opportunities, and jobs then they were 100 years ago.
now women have just become alot like men themselves.

thats what makes their world float. money & dinkies. not husbands, not long lasting marriages.

alot of women these days just dont grow up.

What were women denied in the past?
During America's early history, women were denied some of the basic rights enjoyed by male citizens. For example, married women couldn't own property and had no legal claim to any money they might earn, and no female had the right to vote. Women were expected to focus on housework and motherhood, not politics.

<<<see??? women were forced to be house wives and only focus on their kids and their houses. let the husbands do the work & bring home the bacon.

your husband will go out and fight criminals, fight terrorists and when he comes home. hes gonna need you to care for him, support him, and heal him, nurture him.
so he can go back the following day to continue the pattern.

Where as now en days there tellling women to be selfless and only think of their own needs. oh becuz men aren't babies.
they dont need women to nurture them, respect them, help them, care for them. men can take care of themselves.

but they weren't saying that a 100 years ago.
the messages women were being told for generations was be selfless, and think of others before yourself.
that way they would make terrific wives and moms.

What was women not allowed to do?
Women were not allowed to enter professions such as medicine or law. Women had no means to gain an education since no college or university would accept women students. With only a few exceptions, women were not allowed to participate in the affairs of the church.

<<see?? women were not allowed to work at certain jobs. becuz working in the justice system will harm their emotions.

being a prison guard for a female is not really a good suite for her. becuz she has to work around murderers, rapists, terriortists, and kidnappers, abusers, robbers.

& when the female dont meet their wants or needs, they deal with their abuse. & becuz men in jail are lonely when they come across cute female prison guards they say perverted stuff to them.

where men they dont get that way. like if you ever seen the movie the green mile with tom hanks look at the way that prisoner acts in that movie.
the way he treated the male guards imagine him treating female guards that way????.

i mean he was pissing on them, spitting on them, he was annoying them, abusive to them like he tried choking them.

So ya imagine a female guard having all that done on her???.

thats why women at 1 point werent aloud to work at certain jobs. becuz they were protecting them.

Where men were meant to be fighters, protectors, and providers. & women were meant to look out after the kids and the house.
& if they had jobs it was ones where there safe from toxic people.
i mean being a teacher your around kids alll day and every day and kids are harmless.

being a waitress your serving customers, and being a nurse your healing, improving patients.

thats why its a fucked up society.

Justin_the_guy in reply to islandgirl7700: Women officers were valued for their "soft" approach to information gathering, monitoring the leisure activities of young women, and dealing with children and youth. By the late 1920s, the branch maintained a total of five female officers, while there were 1,000 male officers in the Toronto police force.

<<<look how many men were working in the police compared to women face today.

How many female cops are there?
Employment and salary information for the Police officers workforce. Police officers workforce in 2022 was 849,915 people, of which 14.2% were women and 85.8% were men.

<<<look at the difference between a 100 years ago to today. so they went from only 5 female cops to 14.2 percent.

Were there female doctors in 1930s?:
From 1930 to 1970, a period of 40 years, around 14,000 women graduated from medical school. From 1970 to 1980, a period of 10 years, over 20,000 women graduated from medical school. This increase of women in the medical field was due to both political and cultural changes.

<<see??? they were increasing every 10 years. at 1 point they worried about women being doctors. becuz being a doctor is a hard task.

alot of patients and if or when you lose patients and again becuz females are emotional people, they will feel responsible for the death of their patients.

where men were always told to be tough, and not take things personally and thats why women were more nurses at 1 point. becuz it was the doctors who had to try and keep patients alive.

the nurses just follow the doctors orders.

if you ever seen the movie city of angels with meg ryan???. when she lost a patient she was devasted. she blamed herself for the death of that patient.

she finds she should of done more, or better and he be alive.
Well thats why they were protecting women from being a doctor. so they wouldnt wind up like that.

where as men were always told be tough, dont be a panzy, dont be a little girl. crying is for pussies, and be a man.

Where women it was more normal them to be emotional. becuz there emotional beings.
but sadly as generation passes there just telling women to not be emotional.

becuz if there emotional there gonna miss out on job opportunities.

again thats why were seeing more of women being tough, women being strong and bla bla and they get all cocky and act like oh they can face a bear.
ya until they get attacked & need men to save them and protect them.
