Officially part of the "AARP" club. Joined this site to find new friends and occupy my time during this quarantine. I consider myself outgoing, love to laugh and make others laugh (dry sense of humor), love rock music and seeing live performances, reading, being outdoors, ocean - love going up to Maine. I'm honest and expect others to be the same. No players allowed in my life. Say hi - who knows, it could lead to something great! :-)
I just rewatched this beautiful Alicia Keyes video...and it's just what I needed for some uplifting. Working at the hospital has been very trying for me lately and was bringing me down, but I know there are very special people out there who are working very hard to keep people safe, well and healthy. Keep rockn' my friends...and stay safe!! --Jo :-)

VipersAttack: Let me put my 2 fangs worth in here. Since i was born the healthcare workers have done their best to see to our good health and well being. I remember as a child being scared of them. Seeing a nurse coming into the examination room with a needle to stick me i equated with a whales harpoon and the depressor raping my throat lol. But especially in the last year where walking into a doctors office or an emergency room has become a life threatening event for all of us. These healthcare workers did this day in and day out for over a year now. Many have died by getting infected by this horrible virus. Doctors, nurses, cnas, administrators, emts and many others have risked life and limb to see to our good care . i just want you all to know that i appreciate it very much and am glad that they are there. Thank you to my new friend jojo and any others that put our care before their own safety. VIPER. XXXX
jojomasslady: Thank you so much for all your kind words. Most times, I tend to put on a "mask" and get thru this Hell on earth thru humor, (yes, a dry/sick sense of humor), It helps me immensely knowing there are friends I have on here who help me deal with what has been going on lately, whom I can share laughs with and forget at least for a little while the images in my head from the hospital of what this damn virus has done and continues to do. It is a much needed saving grace in my life right now. Luckily, as some of you know, I also have an amazing family support system who understands what I've been dealing with. My sister reminded me yesterday of an Emily Dickinson quote "You never realize how tall you are, until you are called to rise". I just need to remember how to do that sometimes. I'll stop now...starting to ramble. This is what happens when you don't sleep a wink the night before..lol. I love you all and thank you again for being a part of my life. ---Jo
jojomasslady: Happy Thanksgiving to all my Wire friends!!! This Thanksgiving will certainly be a different one, but keep in mind - instead of mourning over things we don't have, be grateful for what you do have. Keep on rockn'!!!!!
