johngumbs: The reason why Jesus was called the Son of God is because that is the title that goes to kings, priests, prophets and Messiahs. Jesus came through a kingly family. His kingly planet Jupiter was rising in the east. They were trying to wipe out his whole line of descendants, but didn't manage to do so. Paul wrote about his brother James, so that makes Jesus a real person. It is interesting to note what Nathanael said: ''Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.
