JohnfromOz: Thanks Mantaray - no not a lifeguard, but did manage them at one stage of my working life, and this was a photo I took of the NSW Surf Titles on the Central Coast. This boat wasn't in this particular race, just was a nice day and a shot that combined both a close shot of a surf boat and those racing. There have been many boating accidents over the years, and can imagine the guy yelling and going off as you describe, I think I might be too, but also would be grateful to be saved, regardless of the damage to the boat.
