Fascinating...Exciting...Positively Spellbinding!!

My friends, even if you have absolutely no interest whatsoever in the intricate, easy-to-learn-difficult-to-master game of chess, watch how this 8-year-old "kid from nowhere" nearly crushes a seasoned master in a harrowing game of "blitz".

I found myself drooling with envy over this kid's unrelenting tenacity and blossoming genius.

Another appreciative "thank you" to yet another liberal destroyer of the First Amendment -- this time Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. (How the hell do these cretinous dumbbells ever succeed in getting themselves elected to such high offices?...except perhaps by showing their traitorous contempt for the values that once made this country great.)

"My biggest concern," said Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on Monday, "is that your view has the First Amendment hamstringing the government in significant ways."

That comment came during oral arguments in Murthy v. Missouri, the case that asks if President Joe Biden's administration violated the First Amendment when it sought to pressure social media apps to remove information it deemed harmful. It took almost no time for Jackson's tidbit to set off the viral narrative that she doesn't grasp basic constitutional principles, particularly when considering that the point of the First Amendment is indeed TO hamstring what the government can do in response to speech it may not like.

"Jackson raises eyebrows with comment that First Amendment 'hamstrings' government," wrote Fox News. "Leftists want unlimited government — which is why they hate the Constitution," lamented The Federalist. It was "literally one of the craziest things I've ever seen," said Rep. Jim Jordan (R–Ohio).

To all my Republican friends and, especially, to those of my buddies who, although gay, have enough common sense to realize that competency, along with a proven record of achievement, are truly the qualifications required of a man to send him to the White House.

Thank you RiversDavid for posting the following brilliant Donald Trump add. Despite its theatrical dramatization, it resonates clearly and proudly with the unvarnished truth.

I'll get flack for this, for sure...but, like yourself, I don't give a damn! This is a crucial turning point in our country's history right now. This message must be delivered and seen by as many as possible. Our nation's survival depends upon it.

Here's some "eye candy" for my special friends:

Don Durant (born Donald Allison Durae; November 20, 1932 – March 15, 2005) was an American actor and singer, best known for his role as the gunslinger-turned-sheriff in the CBS Western series Johnny Ringo, which ran on Thursdays from October 1, 1959 to June 30, 1960.

I recall Don Durant from a very fascinating Twilight Zone episode entitled "A Piano in the House" (see link address).

Here are three brief commentaries on yesterday’s State of the Union speech by Joe Biden.

Senator Steve Daines (Republican, Montana)

Senator John Kennedy (Republican, Louisiana)

Senator Marco Rubio (Republican, Florida)

And here follows the actual address itself in its entirety for those who missed it last night.

(In my own personal opinion, the most stinging slap on America’s collective face was Biden’s cynical criticism of Republicans for not supporting his new border bill to alleviate the crisis at our southern border—which Biden alone was responsible for having created on day one of his presidency.)

From a recent fundraising letter from Dennis Prager, the founder of PragerU:

For decades I have been saying that sending your child to college is playing Russian Roulette with their values. There was a one in six chance that your child would come home morally unrecognizable. Recently that has deteriorated to a 50% likelihood of a bad result. Yes, it is that grim.

Students are more morally confused than ever. The anti-Israel protests on campus are all the evidence you need. On the Hamas massacres -- the clearest moral issue since 9/11 -- many students are on the wrong side. Over 50% of students, according to recent polls. And the more elite the campus, the worse the protests.

How is this possible?

It’s because our education system is broken. Not just college, but grammar schools, middle schools, high schools, even pre-schools.

Our schools promote moral confusion, dividing the world between oppressor and oppressed. Judeo-Christian values are the villains in the narrative. And the moral confusion is not only about Israel. We are morally confused about the most obvious differences between man and women. We are morally confused about capitalism vs socialism. We are morally confused about free speech vs censorship.

The only antidote is moral clarity. And the only way to develop that moral clarity is through education. But the public and even private schools are the source of the problem.

I know exactly what you mean, General.

On June 2, 2021 (my birthday), Donald and I drove out of NYC -- never to return again.

Those rotten-to-the-core politicians, who were the city's stewards, pledging to protect it, succeeded instead in destroying it.

You only have to look at the city's public school system to see the proverbial writing on the wall. When teaching becomes a dangerous occupational hazard, and educational standards are lowered to insure the graduation of every consummate idiot, you know such a city is ultimately doomed.

But I do miss the NYC subway system in its former glory...I miss the convenience of having three gateway airports serving their passengers...I miss those wonderful Korean delicatessans with their sumptuous buffets...I miss the walkability of Manhattan's streets and surrounding architecture...I miss beautiful Central Park...I miss playing chess in Washington Square Park (go there now during the warmer months and observe with disgust the lowlife husters who have taken over every public chess table, charging folks money for the "privilege" of playing with them.

I miss all those things New York has to offer, and more -- yet not for a million dollars would I ever return to live there.

A Meeskite in reply to JoelBklyn: Nice video. How about the so-called "legal" system headed by the incompetent Alvin Bragg?

County Attorney Rachel Mitchell indicated she didn't trust Manhattan's Democratic prosecutor. But Arizona's extradition law is clear on how the decision is made."We will not be agreeing to extradition," Mitchell told reporters during a news conference at Surprise City Hall.

The suspect in question, 26-year-old Raad Almansoori, faces charges in Arizona stemming from the stabbings of two women. Both women survived.

In New York, he's wanted in the bludgeoning death of a woman in a Manhattan hotel room.

"Having observed the treatment of violent criminals in the New York area by the Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg," Mitchell said, "I think it's safer to keep him here and keep him in custody."

There can be little doubt that Mitchell knows the state's extradition laws. She has held several executive postings in the nation's third-largest prosecutorial agency during her 30-year career.

The education system AND the bumbling stumbling DAs office are turning NYC into
a poorly run zoo.

Biden's upcoming physical exam will not include a cognitive test, White House says:

President Biden will not take a cognitive test as part of his upcoming physical exam, the White House confirmed Monday.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Biden's physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, does not believe a cognitive test is necessary. She said O'Connor believes Biden proves his cognitive ability "every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks."

Reporters pressed Jean-Pierre on the issue due to last week's report from Special Counsel Robert Hur that found Biden has significant memory issues.

"Does the White House think that the idea of the president taking a cognitive test as a part of this physical is a legitimate idea?" a reporter asked.

[Okay, try NOT to laugh at this next paragraph]

"I'm just gonna say what Dr. O'Connor said to me about a year ago when [Biden's physical] was released," Jean-Pierre responded. "The president proves every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks, by dealing with world leaders, by making difficult decisions on behalf of the American people – whether it's domestic or it's national security."

iPhones Now Have ‘Pronoun’ Option In Contacts

[ From “CONSERVATIVE CORE” ]

Outrage among iPhone users has been triggered by Apple’s latest ‘woke’ update–a function that adds pronouns to contacts has infuriated consumers.

A new field for pronouns in the Contacts app, which is part of iOS 17, is included in the update. Critics have taken to social media in droves, claiming the function is pointless and a useless update. Even more alarmingly, some commentators have threatened to ignore any calls made by users of the new function.

But there seems to be some misunderstanding on this issue because the update lets users add pronouns to other people’s contacts instead of their own. Although users have the ability to personalize their contact cards with pronouns, the default setting does not allow them to share this information. As a result, the user’s pronouns would not be shown unless they explicitly requested them.

Many X commentators have said this update has finally pushed them over the edge, and they are contemplating ditching Apple altogether.

One irate social media user said everyone needs to get rid of Apple, asking why the tech company was promoting this. The user said they had no friends with “pronouns.”

Including woke features in upgrades is nothing new for Apple; the company has already sparked controversy in the past. Users were furious last year when the business introduced a “clean energy charging” feature that reduces charging speed in the absence of sustainable energy.

The addition was part of a suite of upgrades to Apple’s Contacts app that also included the development of NameDrop, a function that allowed users to exchange contact details via iPhone swiftly.

It is believed that including the pronoun feature would further enhance the functionality of bilingual applications by enabling users to input their pronouns in many languages.

This will guarantee that the apps correctly show other languages using accurate grammar.

More "Diversity" on the Way?...I'd Rather Emphasize Competency.

FROM: THE REPUBLICAN PEAK

FAA LOOKS TO HIRE SEVERELY ILL APPLICANTS

People with severe disabilities, such as mental, intellectual, or physical impairments, are actively sought after by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as part of its vital diversity employment initiative (DEI).

According to the FAA’s website, the organization understands the importance of diversity in the workplace and actively participates in several programs, alliances, and groups that aim to promote and accommodate personnel from varied backgrounds and communities.

The FAA has also made it clear that it expects its employees to reflect the diversity of American society. It declared as its programmatic objective the promotion of diversity, inclusivity, social contact, mentorship (both official and informal), and professional development.

Gender- and racial-specific initiatives, as well as those that specifically addressed disability, were all part of this.

The initiative noted that the most underrepresented group in the Federal job sector is those with specific or severe impairments. The FAA sought to hire people with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to dwarfism, visual impairments, hearing loss, epilepsy, total paralysis, severe intellectual handicap, and mental difficulties.

Elon Musk’s post on X asked if one would fly in an aircraft that puts DEI recruiting ahead of safety.

According to the FAA’s statement, the agency seeks to employ individuals across various jobs, including administrative, supervisory, and vital safety tasks. The letter said the agency aggressively searches for competent applicants from multiple sources. The requirements for each post, however, are rather specific and stringent.

Roughly 45,000 individuals work for the FAA.

JoelBklyn: Are You Aware of the New Tax Loophole, Which Our Solicitous Government Is Offering to Its Burdened Citizens?

Pretty soon it'll be time to fill out your tax returns for 2023. When you come to the box that says "Exemptions", make certain to enter the number 2,500,000 (two-and-a-half million) -- that's the approximate (or, rather, conservative) number of ILLEGALS who have entered our country this past year.

Let us hope TWICE that number of trespassers, looking to improve their impoverished lives, continue to favor the United States as their new residency during the current year. This will surely lend sustainable credence to the oft-touted fact by Uncle Sam that our loving leaders in Washington are indeed looking out for the best interests of their constituents -- WE THE PEOPLE.
