Kota21: just do what they tell you. my dad has told me that this happened before i could remember with the Y2K thing. he had to explain it to me like 15 times. it was supposed to be the end of the world. i guess there were a few minor glitches, but nothing major because people were AHEAD of it. this is us getting ahead of it. but if you want to go to your concert, then darwanism should be allowed to run it's course

jimmy_jazz: well this is def alot more serious than the y2k thing which was all speculation....this is already only all too real...but we did make it through Sars and h1n1...but this seems to be spreading faster and def causing much more panic...stores selling out of key items already...the economic impact could be much worse than the death toll...missing a concert or hockey game seems to be the least on anyones worries about this pandemic

sarah_spirit: aww sorry to hear your going to miss your concert .. that sucks ..
yes never quite understood this crazy urge to buy toilet roll ..
Its been the same here for a week or so no hand sanitiser or masks ..
although I already stocked up .. but thats just habit .. I like to be prepared anyway lol
People always panic with the unknown .. human nature ..
Things are going to get challenging .. but we will get through it ..

sarah_spirit in reply to jimmy_jazz: *grins..* you know me I'm usually prepared .. been preparing for the zombie apocalypse for as long as I can remember
Yes .. me too .. I hope it does .. Just a little concerned for the older generation and those with health issues who seem to be the most at risk ..
Its bad enough for a lot of older people who dont get out that much and who dont see many people .. to ask them to go into self isolation for up to 4 months is a big ask ..and might get really lonely for some .. Some of them are really scared .. I havent been able to visit obviously because im ill so I have called a few of my older neighbors for a chat .. and to help them plan what theyre going to do ..
The drugs seem to be working thank you I'm feeling much better than I was ...
Hope alls good with you my lovely friend xx
