These people were supporters of the outgoing president who refused to accept that he lost. The violence was incited by that man, who will now become president, and who has promised to pardon those who were arrested. He refers to these people as ‘hostages’. I felt it was important for me to state this on my page because there are a lot of terrible people on here who wants to rewrite history and claim that those of us who know the facts are wrong.
