 Friends    | 1. My full name is Kwon Ji-Yong. The name G-Dragon came from my real name Jiyong (G “지” [Ji] & “용” [Yong] which means "Dragon" in Korean. I was also born on the year of the dragon according to the Chinese calendar. 2. I won "Best Songwriter Award" in MKMF (MNet Km Music Festival) when we Bigbang performed there in 2007 3.I have always said Pharrell Williams is one of my favourite artists since I was very young. Other favourites include: Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Blackstreet, and Wu-Tang Clan. 4. My first single ‘Heartbreaker’ was a controversial one. Sony Music accused YG of plagiarism, asserting that Flo Rida’s “Right Round” had too many similarities. In the end, they compromised by creating a remix of the song featuring Flo Rida for his bonus track album. 5. My first entertainment industry appearance was at a kids TV program called "Bbo Bbo Bbo" 6. When I was 7 I became a member of Little Roora. Check me out rapping as a 7 year old! 7.
