JavaDonut: I'm back in Texas. I miss my long-time home in Guatemala, and I miss my cowboy church brothers and sisters. But, I'm back in Texas and I reckon I'm sort of re-discovering and re-establishing my cowboy roots. Life could be a whole bunch worse than that. 🤠True cowboy culture is simple and honest, it honors God and country, it believes in helping those who need help while expecting those who can help themselves to do it. It believes in giving a man space and freedom enough to build a loop with his rope and swing it as long as he respects the other man's space and freedom as well. I can't imagine being happy as anything but a cowboy on the inside, whatever the outside may look like. My biggest regret is being born about 100 years too late.
