If the stars fell
If the stars fell: people scream in outrage about the horrors of the past... things we cannot change... i understand where their pain comes from... but it seems to me that people delight in their own misery and are adverse to any notion of trying to fix it... or at least alleviate it to the best of our ability... no suggestion is good enough, no outcome is sufficient... people relish in their despair and misery... and even if you did everything you could possibly do, within the significant power of our species... it would never be enough... so we wallow in our bitter blackened holes... and bite any hand that makes an effort to drag you kicking and screaming into the light... and thus it crumbles to dust, drains through our hands, and evaporates into the wind...

milaz0id: What I notice is often in BLM context, people are coming out left and right saying “wow. I thought I was woke. I’m wasn’t. I’m sorry. I’m working on it.” And they get met with “Not good enough! Should have done it sooner. It shouldn’t have taken this to wake you..” While I understand the bitterness and that may be true to an extent, what is all this about if not to create change? And people still want to continue to pound. “Give us change!” “Here you go. Sorry.” “Not good enough! Go back in time and make it happen before now!” “...” Letting go of the bitterness is as important in people making changes in their deeds and outlooks, too. And all of it is indeed for nothing if it is just pretty words.
