Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
If the stars fell:
I am the crown on thorns, battered and bloody not meant for a king...
i am the hardened whip, lashing the back of the fool...
i am the sharp wooden stakes... pinning your savior to a graven image of death...
i am the razor spear, ridding the jackal of his breath...
i am the crucifix, remnants of a gloried past in which we killed your god...
i am but a man... pin me to a wall and laugh, for i have died for nothing...
If the stars fell: hmmmm...

PyroclasticFlo: "Lewis Carroll wove this well into his Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I guess he must have visited here with Alice Liddell and her sisters. Curiously I learn that it really was called a Treacle Well because this was a Holy Well and the mediaeval sense of the word ‘treacle’ meaning ‘healing unguent’. "
If the stars fell:
A black man and a white man both in chains... one turns to the other and says "my burden is great, look at me, i am in chains..." the other responds... "i promise that one day when my burden is broken we will all be free" then suddenly the shackles fall to the ground and one walks into the light... so pleased by his freedom that he left the other behind... forgotten...
who is speaking to who?
If the stars fell: you expect us to have an excessive amount of concern for your well being while having zero regard for ours, and not only that but completely disregard any point of view from a white person, particularly as a white male.We have no voice, we dont even have a seat at the table... and our concerns and well being is dismissed out of hand by poisoning peoples minds with the notion that we already have all the power therefore our suffering isnt a priority.
Their well being isnt any more important than ours.
It also implies that black people are incompetent children that have no agency or personal accountability for their own success or failures. The perpetual victims that can never be appeased regardless of how much you concede. I personally also find that racist...
how many times does it has to be said that we should treat people as individuals based on their individual merit? it seems like it should be obvious... but people still go out of their to set themselves apart from the masses, self segregating then demanding some perceived "Equality" while thinking they deserve constant preferential treatment.
It's bullshit, and its not the path to equality, and the more we constantly set ourselves apart with stupid labels the harder and longer the road will be.

If the stars fell: it goes so far beyond what you are suggesting... as has been explained many times in many ways... gross oversimplifcations and inferences that dont even address the points being made.
If the stars fell:
Sign this petition to get my man AIU from ubanned from youtube... free speech and truth is paramount... make your position known... it takes literally seconds.

If the stars fell: people scream in outrage about the horrors of the past... things we cannot change... i understand where their pain comes from... but it seems to me that people delight in their own misery and are adverse to any notion of trying to fix it... or at least alleviate it to the best of our ability... no suggestion is good enough, no outcome is sufficient... people relish in their despair and misery... and even if you did everything you could possibly do, within the significant power of our species... it would never be enough... so we wallow in our bitter blackened holes... and bite any hand that makes an effort to drag you kicking and screaming into the light... and thus it crumbles to dust, drains through our hands, and evaporates into the wind...

milaboo: What I notice is often in BLM context, people are coming out left and right saying “wow. I thought I was woke. I’m wasn’t. I’m sorry. I’m working on it.” And they get met with “Not good enough! Should have done it sooner. It shouldn’t have taken this to wake you..” While I understand the bitterness and that may be true to an extent, what is all this about if not to create change? And people still want to continue to pound. “Give us change!” “Here you go. Sorry.” “Not good enough! Go back in time and make it happen before now!” “...” Letting go of the bitterness is as important in people making changes in their deeds and outlooks, too. And all of it is indeed for nothing if it is just pretty words.
