I love to see the little kiddes dress up all cute/scary like. It makes me remember once when I was 8, 9, or 10 and dressed up like a ghost by using a white sheet we had from home. My mom cut two eye-holes out for me to see through, but it was still hard for me to see from and she feared when I was out trick or treating I might trip over something and fall on my face. So her and I went to the store and got one of those cheap makeup kits for kids they have around Holloween time. She painted my whole face white, and put big black circles around my eyes. Then she cut a circle big enough for my face to see from in the sheet. And now I was a ghost, but not a very scary one though. So she took my sister and me out for trick-or-treating, and just about every house I went to for candy,the old folks handing it out said to me "Oh what a cute Nun you are". Nun - no way I was supposed to be a scary ghost, whats wrong with you people I thought. Still got a ton of candy that year, but was upset cuz all the people I went and got the candy from couldn't realize I was a ghost not a NUN. Just remembering it now, makes me laugh at the thought of what I looked. I'm not sure if I have a picture of me as the cute ghost from that particular holloween, but if I do I'll post it on the site. Need to check with my mom about it, she has all the family photo albums at her place. GreenEyedCat37_: Fall is here, hoorah.... it's my fav. season. Just love it, the crisp mornings, the mild afternoons, and the chilly nights. Broke out my fire-pit for the first time over the weekend. It was so much fun ~ stoking the fire, watching the flames fly higher in the night. Starring up at the stars. Eating roasted hot-dogs, followed by yummy S-mores. It was great!!!! GreenEyedCat37_: Sort of sad, cuz I moved in with my boyfriend recently, and therefore left the place I grew up behind. Sad about it, after all the time him and I have been together I'm still not that comfortable in his place yet. Plus, I go to college and the course I'm taking is confusing as all hell. But, I think if I keep working at it, I'll do fine in the class. |
