I'm a Christian and my faith is very important to me. I get lonely sometimes but am very doubtful about whether I can ever be in a relationship, esp. a long-distance one. But I love sports, reading (mainly sci-fi, fantasy, suspense, horror, historical fiction) and music (classical, country, metal, gospel).
EustaceScrubb: Happy Holidays to all my fantastic wire pals..May you all have a blessed and prosperous new year no matter what you believe in. Love u all
EustaceScrubb: Dear friends, I will be going back to rehab tomorrow to deal with a long struggle with alcoholism. Thank you all for being such great friends!! Please keep me in your prayers if your beliefs permit..I will need them!! Thanks so much and I love you all,
EustaceScrubb: Dear friends,
I woke up this morning feeling so miserable. I've been getting over one of the worst bouts of depression of my life--losing my job, feeling utterly hopeless and on the brink of suicide. Today felt like it was going to be no exception, but a testimony from a faithful brother today in the I Am Christian chatroom changed all that for me. At first I just tried to pray and encourage other chatters, but I didn't expect to be blessed bc I've just been so down in the dumps ever since shortly after Labor Day, hanging onto my faith by my fingernails. But lo and behold, two hours later, God changed my attitude 360 degrees. I got called into work and ordinarily I'd be dreading it (holiday weekend = craziness), but suddenly I have energy, stamina and a positive outlook on life which can only be attributed to divine intervention. The important truth I've been forgetting (or refusing to truly believe) for so long, is this: As believers, we are joint-heirs with Christ. We have His mind, His heart, His love, and all the power of the universe at our command if we just choose to believe and obey His word. I've been thinking "I just don't have the will to obey." But that is just not true, bc even when I've failed and fallen so many times, the Lord has always been faithful to bring me back to a place of repentance and He has blessed me tremendously! OK sermon's over lol just wanted to say thank you to all my wonderful friends on Wire for being here for me no matter what you believe in and know that you are all continuously in my prayers and I covet your prayers as well. Have a blessed and safe weekend. Love,
EustaceScrubb: Hi, I am installing new software on my laptop which will block me from inappropriate sites. It might not let me access Wire and if so, I'd like to wish all my friends good luck and best wishes. You will all be in my prayers and please pray for me too if your beliefs permit. Love, Leon
EustaceScrubb: I don't mean to preach but just feel like I should share what the Lord has put on my heart.
The difference between Love and Lust:
LOVE is patient. LUST is impatient and rash.
LOVE is kind. LUST is cruel.
LOVE is content. LUST is envious.
LOVE is quiet and peaceful. LUST is disturbing and upset.
LOVE is humble. LUST is full of pride.
LOVE is polite. LUST is rude.
LOVE gives. LUST steals.
LOVE is calm. LUST is agitated.
LOVE is pure. LUST is toxic.
LOVE is tactful and discreet. LUST mocks and bullies.
LOVE is honest. LUST lies.
LOVE is trusting. LUST is suspicious.
LOVE is hopeful. LUST is tormented.
LOVE never fails, but LUST kills and destroys!
I got most of this from 1 Corinthians 13. May the Lord add blessing to the hearers and doers of His word. Amen.
