enfrcr: The other tech was off all week, so I was sort of stuck going in. Especially Friday, when the "receptionist" and my boss were also out. And I wasn't all that sick. I just had a bit of a sore throat, really. I felt worse for most of today than I didn't those days.

enfrcr: Getting "officially" married doesn't have anything to do with a ring, a reception, a honeymoon, money...or paper. That doesn't change the fact that the piece of paper have legal and societal implications, which, to me, is a clear sign that getting said paper is an even bigger step towards commitment and devotion.

Also, I have to find houses to see before I can go see them, and people run away when they see me, so meeting someone is just about impossible.

enfrcr: I care, because it has an impact on my life. If the company falls apart, then it becomes much harder to get a raise. Clients are dissatisfied, so they leave, which means less profit for the company. It can also mean a worse reputation, which makes it harder for the company to grow/acquire more clients.

None of this has anything to do with pleasing anyone.

enfrcr: Negative. My boss and I are very much on the same page on basically everything. I can't even tell you the last time we disagreed on something. We even agree on everyone in the main office being absolutely useless.

enfrcr: Our "receptionist" can't even answer the phone properly. I don't think she's been less than 15 minutes late once in the past 6 months. She regularly takes 80-90 minutes lunches. And she takes her shoes off?

she loved that job, but then she had knee surgery and never returned...

enfrcr: She's like 20, and was hired as a favor to her father (and in hopes that he would send us some business). She was originally hired as a tech, with no experience, no education, and showed almost no real internet in learning. She was, essentially, "demoted" to "receptionist". She is equally horrible at that.

we have so many that have been hired cause they know someone, or they are friend of a friend, like you say, with no experience...

enfrcr: I don't mind training someone, as long as they're willing to put in the work/effort required to learn.

o2jeterbug09: i do mind training, especially when i know theyre coming in making more than me....

enfrcr: If you have to train someone, then, by default, they shouldn't be making more money than you. Unless you're training them for a completely different role.

o2jeterbug09: Usually when you have a new hire, they are coming in making more than you, and with vacation already set...

enfrcr: There is no guarantee that someone new is making more than you. None of our new hires came in making more than me?

1. my friends mom passed away, so i had to make a trip to the Rio Grande Valley
2. Came home there was a message for me, that another friend of mine, his 1/2 sister passed away, she lost her battle to cancer.
3. TODAY, i get home taking off pants, struggling, my phone is bombing me with text, my friend in New York says, his dad is on his death bed....Sooo, he wants me to come down, have to look for fliiights...
also, i had an awesome religous experience TODAY....i have an awesome GOD.... ~_~
