Christmas for me..

I absolutely love Christmas... Always brings out the best in me.. I start Dec 10th playing Christmas music 24/7....Sending out dedication and request to friends. If I had to list all the stuff I love about Christmas. my blog would end next Christmas. I can't get through the holidays without something red and a hat with a fuzzy pom,

Some of the things I love most.. taking three days to decorate my Christmas tree that is only up 14 days.. Shopping for those special things to warm another persons heart. Candy Canes and cookies of all kinds... but the best ones are the trays adorned with a red ribbon to share with neighbors new and old...

.Waiting for the carolers to come around on Christmas Eve...
Christmas lights and decorations.... but while I'm in awe of the beauty of the lights, remembering there are still people in this world seeking the light. Being with family and friends...showing up at their house during the holidays with gifts for them even if its something hand made....knowing some people spend the holidays alone and a card in their mail box may be all they get this year...but you hope it brings at least a smile.

Sending Christmas cards... knowing my Christmas card list had shrunk and grown over the years... remembering your friends, family and love ones no longer near. Christmas reasons for the season! As you once again put up the manger and the baby Jesus for the kids. Not forgetting to let them know Its his birthday! but we got the present.

Leaving a legacy for your family as grandpa reads "T'was the Night Before Christmas" and you video tape it. While he in his red sweater and Christmas hat read the story softly as he did when his own children sat by his knee and listened.. I thought the elf on the back of his chair was a great touch... and to know.. its safe for when your greatgrand kids are old enough to watch. instead of some cartoon that teaches disrespect.
