Friendship is an extraordinarily unique type of feeling which is very different from just love. While it’s possible to be in love with someone and not be their best friend, it’s impossible to have the friendship with someone and NOT love them. With friendship, you are given an opportunity to choose whom you let into your life and whom you allow yourself to love. This control gives birth to the most beautiful relationships. While you are in a sense forced to change yourself for the relationships nature makes for you; with your friends, you are able to be who you truly are. A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow. True friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable.... A friend is someone who can see the truth and pain in you even when you are fooling everyone else..... When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares. You can’t describe your best friends in words. You can describe them with memories that you had with them . Sometimes in life, you find a special friend. Someone who changes your life just by being part of it. Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop. Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is forever friendship.
Aussiekitty: My man is my best friend and soul mate we know every thing about each others past we don't have to hide anything from one another we share money we don't fight over money or other things we will be cerebrating 18 years this June together I just get scared he might die as he has had 5 stroke's and a cardiac arrest at a young age just 45 and at the moment he is very sick with the flu l always pray to god to take me first as l don't want to be left behind without my love.
