Crash: The bible is nothing more than a collection of fiction, mythology, allegory, parables and evangelical writings of ancient superstitious men written to promote a new religion...monotheism, not Christianity.
Although the mythology is fascinating it is more than obvious it was taken from far older mythologies and adapted to suit their own culture. It is also the most poorly written, convoluted, contradictory mythology I have ever studied. It is also an abhorrent mythology filled with stories of a mercurial jealous tyrannical psychotic murderous god that not only condones but participates in genocide, infanticide, filicide, slavery, misogyny, murder and the ultimate blood sacrifice of a human being.
How in the hell can anyone believe in and worship this vile creature is mind-boggling. You shouldn't want this god to exist. It makes Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Saddam, and Mussolini look like Boy Scouts.
How on earth anyone can derive a god of love from the bible is beyond reason.
